Walt goes way too far when someone isn't watching over him or has him in check. From the look of the season premiere opener... despite Mike being around, it looks like that isn't going to change.

Ugh yeah.. the way Jesse genuinely believed he was wrong, that was so hard to watch. Walt's reached a disgustingly low point, just when I thought it couldn't get any lower.

I gotta admit though, this show is something else when it makes you care a lot about the other characters.

I haven't read one page of this thread, nor will I until I'm caught up. I just downloaded season 1-4 and started watching last week. I'm already season 2 episode 12 and I'm fully hooked on this show. I honestly can't tell if this will be my favorite show or Sopranos still. All I know is this show is amazing.

I think the reasoning with Mike is that because his men don't have access to their money anymore, things are/were spiralling, so to prevent more deaths he needs to find them another source of income. Hence joining Walt.

Also, Jesse never catches a break, I welled up when he started disparaging himself

I think he does care about his men to some extent but it's more that he is losing the $2m he had saved for his granddaughter. He had a really angry expression on his normally blank face when he left the DEA interview where they basically told him to spill the beans if he wants to get any of his granddaughter's money back.

Hank won't do anything to Walt even if he finds out. Remember the therapy/hospital bills? DEA Agent + Greatest Meth producer in the southwest US in one family tree? Its going to make Hank look worse than Walt if the DEA finds that jelly bean trail connecting. Especially with Hanks lack of indicting Walt early in the story. Prolonging what has been under his nose since the first season will just make him look like a government accomplice so Walt could be protected/decisions swayed in his favor of taking out local/regional drug lords to get higher up the ladder of power.

It will end as Jesse vs. Walt. They started in the beginning together and they will end together.

I keep thinking this season may come down to something like this. It will be Hank vs Jesse with Walt coming in at some point. Hank thinking Walt is there and can help him, only to either kill Hank or have Jesse do it. Just a hunch of mine.
