way to miss the fucking point. HE alienated HER when he started keeping secrets, and not talking to her, and doing shit behind her back, her actions come as a result of that. Again, some of it, like the affair, is legitimately shitty, but being constantly worried/despising walt/bitching at him etc is a perfectly reasonable reaction to it, and the fact that people hate her for it is fucking absurd.

It's slightly amusing to look at the posts going back and forth between who is a bigger piece of shit, Walt or Skyler. It's that type of debate that makes this show great. You don't know who to hate and who to love. It's almost like, my god, the characters are complex and dynamic. I think that is the best aspect of the series in general. It's just people being people, teetering that line between "living in the moment" and "protecting their long term interests".

I definitely agree with this point. I don't need to be reminded every episode for 10-20 minutes that Skyler isn't comfortable around Walt anymore. I get it. Quit hitting me in the head with a hammer and give me some more juicy action. Although if you watch previous seasons, some of the episodes are slumps, but necessary.

I really hate Skyler but I know most of the hate is irrational. All of last season, just seeing her face made me want to punch her.

Walt is the perfect antihero. Early in the series I was rooting for him, but the "ok that was kinda fucked up" moments kept adding up until you realize he is not at all the same person from season 1. I liked the death stare he gave Brock in the last episode.

The scene with Brock and Walt on the couch was genuinely uncomfortable. I was half-expecting Brock to somehow recognize him, setting up a "shit hits the fan" moment. But Walt keeps on winning. Except for now he is fucking with Mike and I don't think he'll like what he finds down that road.

Jesse is the real hero here. Fronting a lot of money for the operation, then donating a large portion of his cut to the "hazard pay", and easing the tension between Mike and Walt. I like his evolution.

Is it just me. Or after they were cooking it looked like a camera was panned above the tent. They knew there was a "Nanny Cam". Did they realize there are hidden cams usually also in setups like that. (Cameras that can be seen are just a deterrent. The real cameras are usually hidden in light fixtures, door handles, switches, etc.)

Since the people that inspected the house are supose to be B&E experts that regularly sell info like type of security that's set up in a given house i'm going to guess it's just a normal camera shot, and holds no deeper meaning. That said i've been known to be wrong so whateve.

I hate Skylar; not as in I want her to be written off, or I think the actress portraying her is bad. I dislike the character's personality. She is a huge hypocrite by cooking books, fucking her boss, being unsympathetic to the psychological breakdown affecting Walt, then wants to play judge on Walt's morality. I understand her worry for the safety of Walt and the family. Yet, before she knew of any danger, she subjected her family to heavy psychological trauma by kicking her terminally ill husband out of their house, and attempted to stop Walt jr from seeing him. Who the hell does that?

^Who knows how far Walt has gone, live free or die showed us that 1 year later, he's alone, out of state, off treatment, and desperately needs to defend himself. If he killed Jessie.. that would be so fucked up and unfair considering everything he has done so far to his life..

I am guessing he splits because of Hank, he either already knows or is going to by the end of the season/year w/e. I am pretty sure I am 100% wrong considering the out of the box thinking this season has been bringing us. I mean fucking magnets? Cooking under a circus tent like that, it's pretty brilliant stuff, and it's only getting better.

Bingo. Those things really killed any want for me to "like" her character. She came back around with a bang in the previous season but like usual, she has to be a crazy fucking downer bitch, even though I'll admit I DIED laughing at the "SHUT UP" scene, holy fuck lol. I get that that's how they're writing this, setting you up to like the "villain" (which Walt pretty much is lol), and Skylar's character is paramount to this.

The core issue goes back to what she said last season I think, with the car, and how she's "always the bitch mom" or whatever. Morally she is (affair aside) in the right, but since the show is about Walt, it comes across as OMG WHAT A BITCH YO.

Also truth, except for the trying to keep Walt Jr from seeing him part added on, but that's just me.

Walt's hubris and greed is going to burn him so fucking hard, I really liked the Icarus quote too. It's going to have to be something completely off-the-wall and demented for whatever reason he bought that gun.

Late to the part this week. Walt is all about exerting his power now. He's full blown Heisenberg. He doesn't want to share his money because the money means respect and prestige. He doesn't think twice to shift the guilt from him to any one of his so called loved ones. The new cook scheme is genius and the division of labor is clear and works. So I can't wait to see how his wings melt off.

Skylar maybe a character needed early in the series. However the shit she has done to Walt and lack of respect for what he's done for her family warrants her death. With what Walt is turning into Skylar needs to die.

Great episode especially the creation of meth. As for the new lab it's a risky and ingenious idea.
