I hate Skylar; not as in I want her to be written off, or I think the actress portraying her is bad. I dislike the character's personality. She is a huge hypocrite by cooking books, fucking her boss, being unsympathetic to the psychological breakdown affecting Walt, then wants to play judge on Walt's morality. I understand her worry for the safety of Walt and the family. Yet, before she knew of any danger, she subjected her family to heavy psychological trauma by kicking her terminally ill husband out of their house, and attempted to stop Walt jr from seeing him. Who the hell does that?

someone who is being lied to constantly by her murderous drug dealing husband ? when Skylar finally does kick him out it's after she discovered Walt had two cell phones, wasn't taking any money from his old partners so how the hell was he paying for treatment, lied about visiting his mother for a weekend, the fugue state was mostly bullshit + Walt was pretty creepily sexually aggressive towards her. she, and Hank, assumed Walt was just cheating and banging Gretchen but like Skylar said if it wasn't that she was terrified to find out exactly what it was.

and she started sleeping with Ted after Walt forced himself back into the house against her will, the most disrespectful and disempowering thing he could do; it was her way of reassuming some measure of control. she annoys the hell out of me too sometimes but she put up with a lottttttt of shit and showed Walt more patience and tolerance than just about anyone else would have, didn't turn him into the police despite her legal adviser counseling her to, and when she found out the extent of it mostly just wanted Walt to go to the police for his own protection.

Walt is totally to blame for Skylar acting the way she did, he rejected all offers of help out of pride and hubris and tortured her psychologically with his secrecy while committing evil, immoral actions

Her own laundry list of misgivings is getting pretty long it's self, and I think that why shes been on the brink of a full on break down this season since shes just not stable enough to except the hole shes dug for herself. I sorta think my opinion of Skylar changed after seeing how pants on head retarded the writers made Lori on the The Walking Dead, at least when Skylar does something that's makes her out to be a bitch you can sorta find a reason behind it, Lori....not so much

Not that Skyler is loveable or anything, but the farther Walt descends into his own egotistical mania, the more sympathy I feel for Skyler. Sure, she's been a bitch and a killjoy (which makes the show sound like the old days were just so playful), but the vitriol towards her because of her lapses of judgment or character startle me.

Or any less of a hypocrite. Honestly, she was flirting with her boss before she even knew what was going on with Walt. This was heavily hinted at towards the beginning of the show. They both were victims of circumstance, and they both were breaking the law. Walt didn't judge when he found out what Skylar was doing. He was more pissed at the fact she gave his money to someone she cheated with.

I actually found Skylar to be a bearable fictional character when she embraced the 'family business', and admitted to herself that her shit smelled no better than Walts. As for Walt, he has become a nasty thing but he wasn't always that way. The first 2 deaths were justified, as they were kill or be killed situations.
