She hesitantly agreed to being a part of it because she was essentially pushed up against a wall and the alternative would have torn her family apart. Now she's realizing that the choice she made led down a path that may be even worse than the previous alternative. It's a pretty fucking simple and reasonable narrative, not sure what you don't understand about it.

as soon as the full extent of his psychopathy becomes apparent she loses her shit and does nothing except try and protect her children

And again, in the beginning of the episode, the camera focuses on Walt's wedding ring. It's just becoming obvious at this point that Walt is going to kill her and make it look like a suicide, especially with the witnesses when she tried to "kill herself." Solid episode, shit was really tense when they were arguing in the bedroom, I thought Walt was going to kill her right then and there x.x

Agree with Qalbert/Xajii and Andu on Skyler, she's really necessary, and again the only reason I hated her was when she forced Walt out of her life for no reason and forbid him from seeing his children without having a reason AND on top of it fucking Ted, but since she hasn't really acted irrationally at all. I think one of the most tense and chilling scenes in this show has got to be the one where her coworkers force Skyler to sing happy birthday to Ted. WHY DOESN'T JESSE HAVE A BIRTHDAY?! Gdi, him getting the watch makes me love him even more, probably because his flaw is very simple and somehow excusable compared to everything other character in the show, and he does have good intentions with everything he does.

I love it when Sky embraces her immorality. She is just as involved, and crooked. I think my heavily religious upbringing contributes to my loathe for hypocrites.

Sky reminds me of how Rita got in Dexter. I understand a lot of her reasoning behind being afraid of Walter. But my biggest Issue is that she was pissed at Ted for all of 10 mins before she started helping him. Even went as far as to give him WALTER's money. And yet at the same time she kicked Walter out of the house because he was selling drugs to provide for the family.

I'm not saying she isn't necessary to the story. She's very necessary to the story and I never said she wasn't.
I was explaining why people hate her character. well, at least why I do.

If people were explaining why they hated Skylar it would make sense, but for people to be explaining why they still hate Skylar is just stupid. Now we've seen Walt's true colours (which we didn't see before, we only saw a man reacting to stuff that was quickly getting out of hand) Skylar doesn't seem at all like a bitch or deserves the constant stream of hate.

All she's been trying to do is protect her family, she isn't perfect or nearly as smart as Walt is (and not many are) so naturally her actions come off as clumsy and annoying, especially when Walt was in the state he was in like 2-3 seasons ago. Considering all we've seen, I think they've done a great job with Skylar over the years.

I like how Walt doesn't even see the watch as a gift, but as a trophy that he was able to successfully manipulate Jesse. Dude is fucking raw.

Walt went off the fucking deep end on Skyler, all pretences gone.

He's been stripped down to his ego and nicely set up for his inevitable downfall.
Anything but Jesse shooting him in the back of the head would be a disappointment really, even if predictable.

I'm okay with predictable on this show because they're so smart about getting us there in a clever way. We all knew he'd be cooking again. We didn't know how awesome the new plan of bug-bomb cooking would be.

Skylar is necessary for the time being, until Walt see's that she is only getting in the way. I understand Skylar's view on there children being in a dangerous environment, however any environment will be dangerous. She even stated it herself, she doesn't have the courage to do anything about it. This should be a message to Walt it's time to pull the trigger. All Skylar needs to do is watch the children and run the wash. She was the one that pushed for Walt to legitimize himself in some form. I wonder what's in the watch. Lol.
