Next time, ask them what their favorite show is and simplify it in the same way to make them see how stupid they are.

The Wire is just about heroin.
LOST is just about island survival.
Dexter is just about murder.

This whole half season is leading up to Walt killing skyler at the halfway point. The first of the episodes emphasized his wedding ring, and in this past one, it emphasized his lack of a wedding ring. It's going to happen, it's inevitable. He doesn't love her anymore, she doesn't love him. He's finally come to terms with her not being in his life anymore.

Without Skylar, his whole operation would crumble. She takes care of the kids (well not at the moment) and the Car Wash. Those are two damn near full time jobs that Walt would have to take over if he killed her. Being an older man with Cancer (albeit in remission) there's no way we can expect him to make that decision. The only one I see dying this season between those two is Walt.
