So what exactly happened with the scene where Walt leaves the bag of money and gun to Jesse, and then Jesse breaks down? I feel like I missed something important about that scene.

I don't think he left him the gun. It seems when Jesse saw it was Walt knocking he went to get the gun - he probably thought Walt came to kill him as another witness. Then he broke down when it turned to be total opposite.

I think Jesse thought Walt came to kill him. Three months passed in between their talk at the garage and Walt showing up at Jesse's doorstep. Since Walt is the only vote now, getting people murdered in jail, and pretty much doing what he pleases since Mike's "Gone", I can only assume that Jeese was shitting bricks when he glanced through the window to see Walt standing there.

That scene had me on edge, the look of panic when he looks in through the window. The strange conversations to start followed by reminiscing of the past. I thought Walt came to take care of more lose ends at first...

He was definitely worried for his life, but I think he broke down because he thought he was going to have to kill Walt, which considering his history, was not something he wanted to have to do. Walt's visit being relatively benign was a huge relief in many ways.

Besides the fact that Jesse thought he was going to have to defend himself from Walt, and was wrong again, he may have broke down because he realized Walt's time might be about up. Hence the reminiscing and the money when he told him before he wasn't getting a cent.

Even if Hank does find out that Walt is Heisenberg, there is absolutely nothing he can do. It is even better for Walt, now that Hank knows. If Hank turns Walt in, he would ruin his whole family including himself. If anyone remembers, skank Skyler paid for his recovery with Walt's drug money. Even if Hank didn't know, there is no way he'll be able to prove it. Idk how much rehabilitation costs, but I'd guess around 100kish? I doubt anyone is going to believe him if he says he thought the insurance paid. If Walt goes down, so does Hank.

I think he has the ability to arrest him, this Heisenberg has been his target since season 2, and he mentions how he misses the life outside of being a DEA agent. This could be his, "I just don't care, I thought I was the best DEA agent alive, and I yet mybrother in law is Heisenberg out

Remember, he just called Walt a monster to his face. I don't think he would be able to live with himself letting a monster walk free.
