Death's story is necessary due to circumstance, but definitely meaningless overall. Like it kind of needed to happen, but easily unnecessary to make a whole game out of it.
If you care about gameplay: Play Darksiders in order
If you care about the story at all: Play the prologue of Darksiders 1, Play the entirety of darksiders 2, turn the game off on the final cutscene, play through the entirety of darksiders 1, then play the darksiders 2 final cutscene.
Story in action games, lol I guess.
Somehow I was kind of afraid that's how it'd end up, but I guess it's to be expected on some level, considering the timeframe that they decided to set 2 in.
does it break your embargo to say wether or not you enjoyed the game as a whole?
It doesn't break the embargo. I'd give still say the game is a solid improvement from the original, but I pride gameplay and the advancement in gameplay aspects far outweighs how annoyed I am with the story.
Steam pre-load is up, download size is 5638mb, which seems kinda small :O
Is the story the same quality as Devil May Cry? By which I mean it serves to explain why I'm going from one spot to the other, sort of. I can live with that.
It explains itself perfectly fine, there's a clear motivation, backstory, and current existing issue that the game will clear up by its end. It's just all so inconsequential to the overarching plot established in 1. It really stands fine on its own, but if you know what happened in the first game, the story in the second is just so pointless.
This is death's story, that's as far as it goes and I guess I shouldn't have expected more. That's my own fault, I suppose
Works for me, thanks!
would you say it was good enough for a darksiders 3?
Ryko how many points can you get, that you've noticed, for the skill tree? Can you experiment with both or stuck down one path?
In one game? You cant flesh out even one full skill tree in just one completion of the game unless you specifically go through all the side quests, and even then, probably not. You are free to dabble on both sides, but new game + will be required to flesh it out moreso.
Game has to sell some insane amount of copies for 3 to be made...apparently
Yeah, that's what's got me so pissed. 240 to 300 million dollars to get 3? Fuck
have you tried NG+? is it as retarded as it sounds? just one save, or something?
