Darksiders II crossing over with Metalocalypse on Friday
The popular Adult Swim cartoon Metalocalypse will feature a crossover collaboration with Death from Darksiders II this coming Friday. Now that's totally #darksiders2.

The spot will air during the Metalocalypse marathon this Friday night, between the hours of 11pm and 1am. It's been animated by Titmouse, the cartoon's creator. It is probably going to be ridiculous.

Agreed. I had forgotten just how much I liked the music and VA from the first game. Loving II so far.

I have the PC version (on steam) played for several hours. Only had 1 crash to desktop, however the game autosaves constantly. Controlissues - only happens to me with reaper mode for whatever reason, using the radial menu still allows it to function easily.
Video is in 1920x1080 for me and looks fantastic. However, this doesn't seem to carry over to the menu/inventory screen(looks kinda shitty, but it's a menu screen....does it really matter?). That being said, in game looks great, really smooth.

Tech problems stink, but this is still a fun ARPG. I haven't played many in this style (Prototype, Vindictus, does OOT of count?) but I think I'll be tackling more now. More fun to play than D3 imo, though less replay value.

Are the items you buy from Vulgrim based on your level, or just randomly decided? I'm sitting on something like 50 boatman coins, but I've been holding off on using any of them, because if they buy level appropriate stuff I'd rather just wait until closer to 30.

Less than spectacular sales (2 days after release and it's at the bottom of top-10 sellers lists) and THQ basically put everything on hold waiting for revenue from this release. This could be the last big title THQ releases.

My main gripe is that you have to hold L2 to auto-target mobs. It would be so much nicer and more fluid if they did what other action games did (or had the option in the menu's) to make it so you only needed to tap L2 to turn auto-target on/off.

It wouldn't be so much of a nuisance if the special attacks button wasn't L1. Nobody holds L2 with their middle finger lol.

Still having a blast tho. Surprised this game is that low on the top seller list..

Sooo I just got a package from THQ with a sealed copy of DS2 for PS3, even though my copy came a week ago. Inside was this letter:

"Thank you for your Darksiders II pre-order purchase from shopTHQ. Due to a data processing error, some postal orders were routed incorrectly and the accompanying tracking information is also incorrect. Unfortunately your order appears to be one of those affected, and as a result the package is likely to arrive several days after the August 14th release date. We apologize for the error and the inconvenience this has caused.

We want all of our customers to enjoy the game when it is released, and have sent you this additional copy of the game so that you won't have to wait. When your original package arrives, you can share the game with a friend or refuse delivery and have the package returned to our warehouse."

They don't say whether it's free, or if I'll be charged if I don't refuse delivery/send it back, so should I assume it's free and sell it?

I'm so glad I wasn't the only person that felt like this was the way they should've done it. It's so counter-intuitive to do it that way, especially when you're hovering a finger over (or tapping) R1 to evade attacks. I couldn't use shit against the Deposed King without going into the radial menu.

It sounds like it's free? Although the wording is kind of odd, I imagine it'd have to be, since they can't charge your card for something you didn't authorize, and I don't see anything in that quote saying that it's another paid copy, and by not refusing you agree to be charged for it.

Total tangent, but does anyone have a spare of the Best Buy/Amazon/THQ DLC items on the PS3? I've got a spare Death Rides pack from Gamestop, and I wouldn't mind swapping it for one of the sets that comes with more interesting armor, or in the case of Amazon, a way to make the horse more useful than just walking from spot to spot.

from what Ive heard on gamefaqs all the horse thing was, was just 1 extra gallop/charge. So instead of 5 you'd get 6, though thats only what Ive read as I got the gamestop dlc aswell. with the gamestop dlc I don't know what the extra quests are other then getting that silver plate in the first dungeon.

Yeah the horse thing is just an extra charge, useless if you stick to the main story, invaluable if you're aiming to 100% it

Karn gives you 3 quests (plate, helmet, compass), and the compass ends in getting a special knuckle type weapon with the Bloodlust ability. Muria gives you an extra quest that piggybacks off of Oran's quest, though if memory serves it just rewards XP/Glit. And the last one, Draven gives you a quest that involves killing a bunch of "bloodless" mobs that can't be seen without the pendant he coughs up.

I haven't finished Draven's yet, but apparently it rewards a really slick pair of scythes on NG+ (for sure), but until I finish it I don't know if it coughs up anything but XP/Glit on a first playthrough.

Pulled the trigger on the steam version for PC. Took a few exits to save my resolution settings but its working fine now. Can't change a lot of the more intensive settings but we'll see. Have been playing with an xbox controller, might need to invert look next time I get a chance to play. So hard to get used to.

I saw a lot of people mention maxing the first teleport thing right away I think, any other suggestions?

You can always respec for 1000g Boyiee, so no worries if you want to change (1k isn't much at all, especially since monsters respawn anytime you exit/restart

If you go teleport slash build, max the wrath generation skill for sure. I like inescapable, I left immolate at 1, and maxed unstoppable and the related skills.

Welp, for anyone that was curious as to if you can get the Static Blades from Draven in normal, I'm afraid I can't answer anymore. Apparently the quest has a fairly common and fatal bug where it doesn't register a Bloodless kill, or counts it for the wrong area, and I managed to get hit with it. So I guess I'm stuck waiting on a patch (lol) to fix a DLC quest.
