what all is in it?
what all is in it?
derp, google is my friend.
I'm tempted, but I always regret it and the extra stuff jsut ends up in a box somewhereTHQ recently announced via press release, that a collector’s edition for Darksiders 2 will be available for pre-order, retailing at $99. They also were so kind as to make any existing or new pre-orders for the title upgraded to a limited edition for free. Was it really a surprise that this title was going to get a collector’s edition?

The limited edition contains a unique code allowing buyers to download the game’s first single player downloadable content, Argul’s Tomb for free once it’s available. Remember all you have to do to get the code is simply pre-order now!
Anyone who chooses to opt for the collector’s edition will receive a limited edition copy of the game, a Replica Life-Sized Death Mask, the original soundtrack, a hardcover art book, and the Shadow of Death Armor and Scythe Set.

While it isn’t specifically said whether or not you will get early access to Argul’s Tomb for free if you purchase the collector’s edition, for those of you who don’t like to think to hard, it’s safe to assume that you’re collector’s copy is already going to contain the code. That just wouldn’t make too much sense would it?
Jizzed everywhere.

So damn tempting with that CE pre-order!
looks like the UK (and likely europe) won't get to that sexy CE :/ deaths mask on my mantle would have looked nice
Kinda bummed it's not on earth, one of the big things I liked about the original Darksiders![]()
Looked at the stuff that comes with CE.. /came buckets. Not sure if I wanna drop 100 bucks on it though. ;/
Game needs to be released already. Hopefully it stays true to the first game (aka HD Zelda) but builds on it.
Not alone.
Still get chills
Calling it now, Darksiders V will be a 4 player co-op game.
Was talking to Qal about 3 or 4 being coop. 2 is suppose to run along side with war's journey. So it probably ends like the ending above, just from Death's perspective. And the fact they're using different horsemen, Fury and Strife, should be interesting.
pretty hefty interview

No conquest or pestilence? Eh can still be gewd.
I haven't really ordered many games from Amazon until lately, especially ones that aren't out yet. I'm getting ready to pre-order Darksiders 2, but it doesn't have release day delivery as an option. Will that get added in as it gets closer to release? I just don't wanna drop the $60 now and not get the game until like 5 days later lol
I still got a huge (HUGE) backlog of games. I think I'm going to wait a few weeks (month?) after release and try to pick it up for $30-40. Loved the first game (stopped 65% through...) which is one of the games I still need to go back and finish. So many games... and no time to play them.
Old news but for those that still plan to purchase it, the game is $49.99 on steam and $44.99 on amazon (the download version)
goddamnitOnce again we want to welcome you to the new Darksiders II website. Being a part of our community means you will be the first to know when new trailers, screenshots, announcements and updates around Darksiders II are released.
The rumor-mill has been churning with speculation recently, so we wanted to put it to rest first here with our core fans: Darksiders II will be moving to release globally in August 2012, rather than June as previously announced. It’s just a short delay, but we promise the game you’ll have in August will be well worth the wait!
This is great news for the team at Vigil, because it allows additional time for polish and to ensure that all aspects of Darksiders II meet the high-quality bar the team is targeting. In game development, more time is always a good thing for quality and the Vigil team is dedicated to providing the definitive Darksiders experience.
A brief Q&A on the date change is below for any questions that you might have: http://bit.ly/J2R0Qm
Questions & Answers:
Q.) When will the game be available in North America?
A.) Darksiders II is scheduled to be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in August of 2012. The release date will vary by region (as they did with a June release). The exact street dates will be issued for each region in the days to come.
Q.) Has the date been pushed back to tie in with Nintendo’s WiiU™ launch?
A.) The date was shifted to ensure we meet the high quality threshold that we are committed to achieving. It has nothing to do with any other platform releases.
Q.) Is Darksiders II being pushed back because of the recent layoffs at Vigil Games?
A.) No, the staffing changes at Vigil Games have not impacted the release date.
Q.) Is content going to be cut from the game?
A.) Definitely not! As we approached the game’s completion date, the team asked for more time to polish the huge amount of content included in this ambitious project. We are all committed to making Darksiders II the highest-quality game possible and the additional time will allow the team to do just that. The game content remains unchanged, as do our future DLC plans.
Q.) Are you truly pushing the date back to make Darksiders II a better game?
A.) Absolutely, that is the only goal fueling this decision. Nothing is more important to us than quality and thankfully our company’s current operational position allows us to make the right choice for Darksiders II.
Q.) Aside from getting it later, will this affect my pre-order?
A.) Definitely not, everyone who has/does pre-order Darksiders II will receive the Limited Edition at release, along with any associated retail exclusive content.
Q.) Will the game definitely release in August or will it be delayed again?
A.) This small delay is to allow additional time for polish and bug fixing. As we’ve stated in numerous articles and videos, Darksiders II is substantially larger game than its predecessor and the ambition of this project requires extra time to polish to the high standards that Vigil Games and THQ are committed to.
