AM I THE ONLY ONE STILL HAPPY WITH XP?
Am I the only one who doesn't care for apps that take up big chunks of my screen? Or the only one who likes his start bar right where it is...
For a second in the first video it looked like they had a windows 7 like bar at the bottom. At least I can turn all that artard shit shown off.
The fuck, Windows 7 is like a year old...and works fine.
After seeing that, i think i'll stick with 7. That looks like a smart phone OS to me.
XP IS FINE DONT LET THEM GET YOU DOWN TRYVEN
At long last I have found a kindred spirit.AM I THE ONLY ONE STILL HAPPY WITH XP?
This thing looks absolutely horrible. If I wanted a twitter wall looking piece of shit on my fucking screen I'd use Tweetdeck.
Just what I want... my computer screen to look like the desktop is an iphone littered w/ apps. I'm also perfectly content w/ W7 and unless this is amazing I see no reason to drop the 250+ for "smartphone, the desktop edition"
I like the widget or w/e its called in w7, but there is no reason to make those things even larger and call it a new OS
what the hell is this.
Hi.
The title and the videos are missleading.
Is this Windows 8? Yes. Is this the Windows 8 we will be using as consumers? Sort of, no.
These videos are focusing on the Tablet version of Windows 8, not the Desktop verison.
Windows 8 will still be a "normal" OS, without any of this "app" stuff as a mainstay.
Windows 8 for PC will be just like how it is now with 7, with "tablet extras", Windows 8 for Tablets will have "PC extras". There are "two" versions of Windows 8, however at this moment, both versions are the same, just each of their main focuses are different. You can switch to "tablet mode" if your on a PC, or you can switch to "PC mode" if youre on a tablet.
Windows 8 on PC will be exactly how the MS OSs have been, just now there will be a more friendly tablet/touch screen option that you can switch to if you want.
With that said, I still use XP on my main PC.
Wait... you guys don't use Windows 98? WTF
It looks like a Rainmeter skin that I used when Windows Phone 7 came out
I'm sticking with XP until BF3 comes out. Then I'm switching from 32bit to 64bit WIN7. I can dual boot XP and 7, right?
Yes, but 7 has a built in (sort of) version of XP, so really no need to.
If you have pro, ent, or ult, you can download XP and Virtual PC for free.
