Anyone care to explain the splitscreen thing to me? I was distracted when it happened and the only thing I caught was that you didn't have to do deal with it, which auto prompted a fuck yeah, but I didn't get to hear how it worked.
Both, The software pumps out each players frames, alternating. 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2... you get the idea. And like how the powered 3d glasses show a different image to each eye, all 1's to the left eye, all 2's to the right eye, these glasses are set to show only the 1's in one pair and only 2's in the second pair.
So, instead of 1 picture at 120hz with splitscreen, they can now enable 2 overlayed pictures at 60hz, one for each player.
Two players playing split screen on future games (like Resistance 3) will see the entire monitor as their screen and the same for the other player. I think this removes the display's 3D capabilities when you use that mode... if my basic understanding of it is accurate.
I'm having troubles deciding if I want the 3dtv (24" is fine for me as it's what I'm using on my PC/PS3 atm, and I also want Resistance3), or go with the NGP and save the money.
Every 3dtv I've seen in stores are all 48"+ at more than $1k, which is too large/expensive for what I'd possibly need. I'm still waiting for there to be a standard with the 3d glasses also. How hard is it to make a dongle that hooks up to the TV that each brand can provide so their shit works on other screens?
Does anyone know of a link to download any of the press conferences or to re watch any of them?
I missed Sony this evening.
Just wait another year and 3DTV's will be even cheaper than they are now. I made the mistake once of buying a HDTV when they first were coming out. Bought a 32" Sharp Aquos. At the time, they were the top of the line. They also cost about $4,000 after tax. So yeah, never again. I still have it, and it's still great, but I could buy like 15 HDTV's for that price now.

Sony could have been higher if they had pulled out more big game guns. R&C, Dark Souls, etc.
And I'd put Ubi a couple > lower, just because of that cokehead fucker.
Though I will not try to predict Nintendo. Might be good, might be vitality sensor.
And yes, that gamespot UK lady, helloooooo.
I'm sold on Vita, and lol hundred fists and lightning being dead/Alternate timeline I am intrigued.

As to the Capcom schedule Omniyoji just put up in the info thread, I'm a bit mad that Monster Hunter is nowhere on it.
So who's got what scheduled for when tomorrow?
G4's got 10 hours of "E3 Coverage" scheduled for tomorrow.
I'm going to have to catch most of the post Nintendo stuff in news articles, heading out to see X-Men tomorrow.
Because it deserves to be double posted
