Just curious before I leave my broseph behind in levels so I can be baller and have the pet, character levels are a completely separate entity right? If he's character level 5 and I'm level 20, it's not going to matter if we party on classes in the same range yeah?

It seems that it will matter after all, when I first started Kiarax was level 2X while I was like... Lv8 and he came and ran the first dungeon with me and even after switching to a Lv1 Thief I didn't get any sort of exp

From what I've seen and heard, EXP calculations are made based on your character level instead of class level, which is a shame. Rules out the possibility to play with low level friends unless you make a new character... which (in my opinion) defeats a big part of the point of the system.

Hopefully they'll end up changing this.

Am I suppose to grind repeatables at level 7 up till 10 or am I doing something wrong

Edit: Yeah nevermind I spoke way to soon, I just did one repeatable and now I am in the next zone lol.

It's awesome that the repeatables work like chains aswell.

I'm on Emerald server (character name: Mihli), but I might end up switching over after this beta. Just trying to power my way up to get that prize before this event ends.

Edit: I think at level 8 you get the quest to visit the Soul Guardian in the next area. Should be automatic once you level iirc.

I can do the Eroda dungeon, Terico Aquamarine server, tank or dps level 27 lemme know when, can be on whenever.

Hoping they add resets to the knowledge point system at some point, i was a bit careless and fucked up on my knight, now it feels useless, it will probably be a mall item in live or something though ;/

I just woke up. But yeah.. I agree about them needing to change things so C. Level doesn't effect the class levels and allow you to play with lowbie friends.

Also, got a 5 man dungeon. need to get people around lvl 30 so we can do that shit.

I'm 50/50 on it. I wish you could have the option of grouping up with lower level people, but at the same time it'd make leveling other jobs painful. I unlocked Knight at level 25 and it caught up in class levels extremely quickly thanks to still being able to kill level 25~ enemies despite the class being at level 1. I think it's just weird going in to it as an FFXI player, since in that it worked completely differently.

ugh. god. launcher won't play the game. everytime I click on Play it closes and nothing happens. reinstalled a few times already.... lame =/

Tried googling the problem? Checked firewalls, ran as admin, etc?
