Well, I know what I'm going to be doing.
Well, I know what I'm going to be doing.
Oh that's good, I have Bard 30 and need to take it to 45 for Blade Dancer.
ty for the advice
Yeah, bard ended up being my first 50, lol.
I ended up making 1k gold going from 45-50 and selling everything but potions and monster remains. Really wish it was Dianack instead.. reanimated blood/demonic remains![]()
You guys are crazy lol. I went into Veni on 30 Bard and got my shit pushed in. I didn't even train the whole zone like Jam suggested, I was merely trying to take out the first group upon entering lol. Just those four mobs hit me for more than music of life can heal me. ;;;>_>
You need to kite everything to the large platform before the 1st boss in veninfang. You run in a circle around it, but you have to do a trick i saw someone name "slidecast". It helps with your animation cancel so you can move before you get hit. its impossible to solo the first pack, because you need a large area to run around in.
I tried doing dianack because theres a big enough room to kite everything... unfortunately those robot things have a ranged attack that nearly 1 shots me. by the time i reach them, i'm about 50% life from things smacking me. :\ Im tempted to try it again though, because they don't always ranged.
What character level do I need to be to do that? I'm 40 atm :X but my bard is still at 1. Kinda want to try it hahah.
Video of the Veninfang solo here... just mute the video because the music is fucking awful. Seriously, mute it. Don't even try it.
As for level required, 45 to enter Veninfang iirc, Bard needs to be at least 25 for Burning Metal (but it will take a while initially due to how low your DoT damage will be). Shit gives ridiculous exp up til 50, so it's perfect for solo grinding or letting people leech class exp.
how do you do that "slidecast" anyways? there like a trick to it or just keep running after the cast?
I'm actually not sure since any mention of it gets threads deleted(cached ftw) in aeria public forums but.. all you do is click/move during a spell/ability and you get out of the animation. Similar to changing gear right before a spell finished in FFXI. Except in here you can just spam movement with mouse during a spell like burning metal. You'll get stuck still, but only for a fraction of the time without doing this trick.
If slidecasting actually avoids ALL movement impairing effects then hellidk
interesting i'll have to try that out thx
is the song....an asian version of blitzkrieg pop? o.O and thanks!
Also, assuming level 40 them if I want to do Baltoroi? Thanks!
It's kinda hard to explain, it'd be best to show in person.. but i'll try my best to say how I do it. I click to move on a spot straight ahead, and turn my camera around with left click. Hit burning metal and immediatly after i turn my camera completely around and hit w when i see the back of my char. It works every time for me, but everyone says they do it differently. Hope you understand what I'm saying, but it takes some practice to get used to it. I sat outside of veninfang for awhile getting the hang of it.
Hopefully this new "high level dungeon" brings a decent way of farming CXP. Although Dianack/Slain are fine, I have to say grinding it since 48 > 50 has put me off going in there for more CXP grinding :< Also some people won't take anything less than 40![]()
Bard in Veninfang, seriously. Still get over 1k class exp per kill with 2 people and you get around 30 or so mobs in like 3 minutes. Just a guess here, but I think we're gonna get the level cap raise to 55 along with Zumi. Their continent has 3 areas, levels 1-8 (starting area for them) and then two zones that are 52-53 and 53-54. Would make sense to release them all at once, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. "Early" July isn't far off at least.
Yeah, I think you are right. I'll try verninfang out.
yeah the rat people get verminfang
Awesome way of exping up bard(and leechers rahhh), thanks for sharing.
Took me a good amount of time to get the hang of the technique needed, I practiced outside for abit aswell but I practiced more inside, repairs aren't expensive and there is nothing better than practicing on the real thing.
Keep at it you'll eventually get the hang of it and you'll be swimming in CXP. I have an annoying habit I formed from I dunno maybe from WoW but when I swing the camera around to lay burning metal sometimes I hold right click when I want to turn back around to run away instead of left which is a huge no no cause right click turn is a lot lot slower than left click turn >_< I still die sometimes cause of that but apart from that it's solid, 30 > 42 bard in 2 hours or so including my practice runs and mass deaths haha.
I'm going get 45 and call it quits o/ thanks again.
I've always called it verninfang for some reason, leave me alone:D
I don't ever swing my camera around. I just use the Spell at the bottom of my screen. You only hit half of the mobs unless you kite them a certain way. I like doing it that way because it is totally mindless and I can watch TV and stuff at the same time.
