I solo'd it on my Cleric as well, but its a pain in the ass. Use like a billion MP potions and then have to repair my shield every other run.
Mots: I'll be on again in a bit, eating dinner, if you'd like to duo some.

lol, I did it on Bard... didn't have to repair jack nor did I have to use any MP pots (or HP for that matter)
Bard ftw?
I'd just run past all the trash mobs til I was right near the boss, AoE em to death... rest up.
Then I ran in and put my AoE DoT on him and the 2 minions next to him, spammed my regen song and stacked my AoE DoT to level 3 then I just kept both my regen and the DoT up and smacked him with my guitar til I broke him then went to town.
Each fight was maybe 2min long, prep time getting to the boss maybe 2-3 minutes so I'd say 5min average per run on bard with practically no cost to me (minor durability loss, repairs after I finished all runs were just a few silver)
EDIT: Forgot to mention I ran out of range of his AoE as well so I didn't hurt myself while attacking him since he inflicts that stupid status effect on you.
I haven't leveled my Bard yet, it's next though, just now got around to Cleric.
I can solo him on Knight pretty easily too, do have to use a potion or two (unless I fuck up dodging the status, then I usually have to chug a few). I just clear some inventory spaces and the money drops off the mobs + NPCing the weapons the boss drops made me make back more than I was putting out to do the runs.
I feel like I'm underleveled fro beluga bay though now and I'm addicted to attack speed ;/ hard to level warrior cause it's slow
Playing on Aquamarine server, name is Falisa. Gonna try out bard in CB
Kia, what Knowledge points did you put on your Knight in Class Expertise?
Fairly sure Classy Finish (the top right one I have) is broken though. Supposed to increase the Movement Speed and Attack Speed bonus from Knight's Breeze by 20%. But I get 30% move speed increase still (it should be 50% or 36%, depending on how it works out that 20%...) and I get 127 Attack Speed rather than the 110 advertised. I'm really not sure why it gives more than it should, but a 20% increase would make it give 132, not 127. I think it's just because I have the +5% Attack Speed Heroic Trait.
What's the best solo class? I'm getting my ass kicked trying to do the quest for Angor Quarry. I thought Hunter would be awesome but my tiger dies in 2seconds lol
Is that the Lv10-ish dungeon? That you enter a portal to get through. If so then it isn't meant to be soloed.
Hmm.. Guess I screwed up then. I managed to get up to the boss but I couldn't drop him past 50%. I'm thinking with a healer it could easily be duo'd at the very least.
Only class I can see it being soloed with is Cleric, but it'd take an extremely long time and you'd probably need to use quite a few potions too. But yeah, that's a 3-man dungeon. They're all designed to be done with either 3 or 5 people. For the 3-man ones they're all pretty easily duo'd up til the very last one. 5 mans are quite a bit harder, but you can get away with 3-4 people fine.
I see a lot of endgame tanks wearing the lvl 30 Orange crafted armor. I wonder if thats because of the lack of repair costs or if they are actually good equipment to have?
Also, when are we doing Ulta again? XD
I don't think much of either set. The tankier one gives pretty good evade but otherwise it has nothing interesting on it. Better to get 33~ blues (or greens at a push), can easily get just as good stats on them (marginally less evade, much more defence, also the option to go for other stuff like attack speed, since neither of the 33 orange sets have it). The set bonuses are shitty for both 33 sets too. Most people go for the Desert set, but 2% damage reduction to elements is trash, +149 def is... well, you'd have much more def if you went for 35+ blues, way more if you get purples and the extra malice is completely unnecessary with how easy it is to hold hate in this. I use these:
Gloves are a hold over til I can get my hands on a blue or purple attack speed pair. But otherwise every piece of my set has better def than the orange (helmet has vastly more, since it's level 38) and is all loaded up with attack speed, which I still stand by as BEST STAT EVER for a melee.
lol my armor looks like trash next to yours. Though I do have Blue Gloves that Have a nice bit of attack speed on them. =P
I had some level 20 greens with attack speed for the longest time, lack of blue was killin' me so I gave in and grabbed those off the AH for cheapo.
Edit: Maintenance for an "hour or two" (read: 3-4 hours) tonight at 6 PM PST. Said they'll post patch notes. Hopefully they'll fix the Rotten quest. Has some pretty nice weapon rewards ontop of dat delicious and suddenly scarce character exp.
Good lord. Event on channel 4 in Aven. My game exploded because of the influx of everyone on the game heading to one spot. Evil.
Edit: lol I think they are stress testing. Server 4 just went down. XD
This game doesn't seem to explain much, what do certificates do? Also is there any benefit in being in a guild like in Wow? (More exp and rep and stuff)
Certificates are passive traits you get every 10 levels. They carry across all classes, so you could use the DEF+% one from Warrior on Cleric if you wanted. You also get further boosts by using multiple of the same category (Tank, Melee DD, Ranged DD, Magic DD or Healer). If you have 2, 3 or 4 of the same type around one of the gold squares it'll light up and you can mouse over it to see what bonus you get. As for guilds, you can get repeatable guild quests, which can sometimes be a little more convenient than normal repeatable quests. I think there's gonna be more benefits later on down the line when there's guild wars and stuff, but right now I think the only real benefit is not having to pay tax on buying stuff in guild towns (guilds can make towns and set whatever tax level they want, so if other players want to purchase stuff there the guild will get money from it).
Edit: OH! And the amount of certificates you can equip at once increases with your character level too, every 10 levels you can equip another one, up to a total of 7 at 60 (which we can't reach yet... but still).
Why the fuck didn't I turn off "Blur" before now. God so ugly. Also thanks to that... I noticed this game has lightrays.
