Ram issues - or at least I think that's the problem

Alright so basically I've been having the same problem as Kuno was in this thread:

    Kuno's Thread

Expect mine only happens when trying to play the Witcher 2 and when watching certain video's and streamed media online.

Now I have Windows 64 bit with a Core i5, an ASUS P7P55D LE mobo, and this ram. Now Kuno's problem seems to have been fixed by tweaking some settings in the BIOS and from reading the reviews on Newegg I could probably solve my problem that way as well. The problem is most of what is posted there especially the solutions is just technical Mumbo Jumbo to me as I have no idea how I would go about editing my BIOS settings or what to edit. If anyone could help me figure out exactly what I should look at tweaking and how I would go about doing that, I would really appreciate it.

Voltage for that set of RAM seems to be 1.6 to 1.65 volts for the 1600 speed, and your board looks like it supports that speed.

While booting up, you should see a message that says something like "Press F2 for Setup" or "Press Del for BIOS" or something, so do that and get into your BIOS. You should see a selection at the top of your BIOS for "AI Tweaker."
    When you select it:
-Change "AI Overclock Tuner" to manual
    -Change DRAM Frequency" to 1600
-Change DRAM Timings to 9-9-9-24 (CL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
    -Change Command Rate to 1T
-Change DRAM Voltage to 1.65 volts

The rest of the BIOS shouldn't matter for now. If it fails, then it's just gonna revert you to stock settings and go about business as usual. Post back after you've tried those settings.

Email the RAM manufacturers customer service, they usually have a list of recommended settings for certain motherboards. I had a problem with blue screens and system hangs and I tried changing RAM voltage, timings, being very conservative with them and still having problems. I emailed G.skill with my problem and system specs and they told me to change the CPU-NB voltage +0.1V and it magically fixed everything. Now I'm running 1600 at 7-8-7-20 1T on 1.6v and no problems. Also, try 2T over 1T for now, it's more stable. Try switching back to 1T if everything is working okay.

Alright so I went into BIOS and tried turning the AI Overclock Tuner to Manual but when I did it wouldn't let me set the DRAM Frequency to 1600 only Auto, 1333, 1066, and 800 MHz. Instead what I tried for now was enabling something called X.M.P. It set the MHz to 1600 for me and set the rest of the settings automatically to what you specified. Only difference was I couldn't a Command Rate option and instead there was an option named DRAM Timing and it set it to 2N. The one thing that was weird though is that the X.M.P said it was setting the Voltage to 1.65v but it came up in the Menu as 1.70 as my BIOS only allows Voltage to be increased by increments of .1v, is that going to be a problem? I'm going to head to bed soon so I won't have time to really test it out tonight as the freezing doesn't exactly happen on command. In the morning though I'll boot up the Witcher 2 for a good while and see if it fixes that problem, and report back if I have any issues.

Generally not recommended to go over 1.65v, I'd bump it down to 1.6 if you can't do 1.65.
