Well I was sort of trolling but yeah.
Does anyone know where I can get the song that plays when she goes SEIZZONN SENYAKUUU. I must has it.

...?
About 5min long original, although probably not exactly what you were looking for maybe
Yeah, I meant the version that was playing, not the original. Oh well guess I'll just have to wait.
Right place to ask this?
What's the difference between hardsub and softsub? I assume hard keeps the original jp word instead of the translated word?
I always thought it had to do with how they encode the episodes. Hardsub meaning the subtitles are actually added to the video and softsub being a different layer or something?
Softsubs are optional, can be a seperate file (.srt) and/or can have multiple tracks
Hardsubs are actually part of the picture, so you can't remove/change them.
Hardsubs are the safer option, because they will always be there as long as you can play the file. Softsubs require the media player to be able to use/read/whatever them.
Correct, Softsubs you can turn on/off/switch styles (depends on the group) whereas Hardsubs are there forever. Which is why you hear people prefer softsubs over hardsubs.
The accuracy of the subs depends on the actual translator and the group that they work with. Doesn't have to deal with soft or hard.
Ok. I thought it had something to do with the actual translation than format. Nice to know though because when those two are ever brought up in something it confuses me.
Soft subbed anime is pretty rare, it's mostly all hard subbed so you don't have to worry about it. In movies (Japanese/Korean/Chinese etc) it's way more common to find soft subs, and sometimes you need to find a translation file separately from the movie. It's a fucking pain.
Hard subs ftw.

Huh? I never even stumbled upon soft subbed anime yet I think.
The lower res .avi files are usually hardsubbed from what I see on Tokyotosho. The HD .mkv files are softsubbed.
You are aware what hard and soft subs are right? I realize I said pretty rare, but I should've mentioned that it was in regards to me downloading them.
Hard = in the video, avi files and shit like that (can play easily on 360/PS3), you cannot change them
Soft = separate srt files or the ability to change/remove the subs including style and language
I tend to stick with hard sub because I like to play them at friends houses and soft sub gives too many issues in doing that. Pretty sure MP4s are included in the hardsub category too.
I'm very much aware of the difference.Back when AVI containers and divx/xvid codecs were the norm it was more common to see hard subs. Neither has been in mainstream use for some time now however. MKV/x264 is the de facto container/codec combo pretty much anywhere and more and more devices are supporting its playback natively. Some more niche groups may still be using AVI and/or hard subs, but they are rare in comparison. PS3/360 compatibility is an unfortunate circumstance, even more so because it's not a matter of ability, but a direct attempt at anti-piracy measures.
I think you're underestimating hard subs, as there are far more groups releasing AVI or MP4 versions of shows, especially the popular series. The last hard subbed show I grabbed was like 1-2 days ago for Ao no Exorcist 25. Most of my friends won't even watch an anime unless they can play it on PS3/360, so finding MP4 files is easy (though that much started with PSP-ready anime which was like 5-6 years ago).
Though it was wrong to say soft subs are rare in general, hard sub anime is easily obtainable if you aren't a quality junkie.
