Broken Blade - 10/10 (6 anime movies)

Broken/Break Blade was mentioned a few times, but I just got around it....and I'm damn glad I did. I don't know if it didn't get more attention because no one liked it, or if the slow release made it easy to miss, but if I had to recommend an action show that aired in 2011, it would probably be this one. The plot might not be the most original, but the quality all around is very high and it was well worth my time.

The music was excellent, the animation was much better than your average anime, the mecha battles were interesting to watch, and the characters for the most part were very likable. In fact, the latter was my favorite part of this show. Unlike most animes out there, the cast was composed mostly of adult that were developed properly (imo), and that made the show much more believable and dramatic. It actually felt like they were at war.

I can see why certain people would be let down by the story if they expect it to move at a faster pace, but I'm a sucker for tragedy that turn friends against each other when they are all good characters, and that's essentially what this show was. Others might find the main character a little annoying at first too, but I liked the progress he did over the 6 episodes.

Does anyone know which groups have subbed Arakawa under the bridge x bridge? I've checked on nyaa,tokyotosho, and demonoid and cannot find a batch torrent. Preferably 720p. My computer cannot run bluray because it is a piece of shit and I need to upgrade badly ~_~

It you watch over 5 series every year, odd is that it's worth your time. I can't think of many recent series that came ahead this.

Whats about Baccano, Durarara? Code Geass?

I'm in the process of downloading the first season of Last Exile. I watched the first episode and wasn't too impressed, but hopefully the second or third will pull me in. I also already watched Code Geass, it was pretty good and I just forgot to include it in my list.

After reading the synopsis of Bacanno and Durarara, I'll definitely be giving Bacanno a try. Durarara seems kind of interesting, I'll give it maybe one or two episodes and see if I like it. Thanks!

I'm still looking for more, if anyone else knows of something that has a similar theme to any on my list.

Pretty much what everyone else has said about Break Blade applies to how I felt, just downloaded the manga too, sucks it's still ongoing.

I confused Break Blade for Broken Blade, still looking forward to watching it. Been watching Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari and it's surprisingly good, but I love anything centred around the Tenchi universe.

Break Blade is the japanese title, Broken Blade is the proper translation.
