It's the prequel, the holy grail war that takes place prior to the one in fate/stay night. I'd personally recommend at least watching Fate/Stay Night and UBW before Zero if you haven't. They're not as good though.

Blah, I reinstalled mpc-hc and everything so that it was more up to date and didn't use any codec packs. Everything works flawlessly except that .mkv and .ogm thumbnails no longer have a clip from the episode. Haali has the setting set to yes so it's not that. I tried editing the registry stuff as per what google searches tell me to do to no avail.

Halp. I can always go back to using cccp and removing/adding stuff myself again but meh.

Also, nichijou was amazing and awesome. It's a shame it selled like shit.

You're really that worried about it showing a thumbnail from the episode? As long as the video plays correctly.... Anyway are you sure it's not your folder options? ie set folder as video/media folder vs documents?

I detest the default "mpc" thumbnail when the alternative is a clip from the episode. It's unsightly and annoying. All the other video formats do it correctly, and mkv/ogm did it correctly before I switched from cccp+madvr to everything separately and up to date.

I can say with 105% certainty that it has nothing to do with my folder options. No idea what you mean by video/media folder vs documents folder anyway. A folder is a folder, there aren't different types.

I believe you need 64 bit codecs to get thumbnails.

I guess I meant this, viewing as thumbnails vs other types:

Though I thought you could set folders as music, photo or video type folders in XP. I don't know about Win7, which I'm guessing is what you have anyway.

Of course I'm viewing thumbnails. :p In XP there probably was something like that, but nobody should be using xp anymore. <.<;

Installing x64 versions of the LAV filters didn't do anything. I feel the problem should have more to do with the splitter, but haali doesn't offer different versions. CCCP apparently now officially supports 10bit so I'll probably go back to using that and just uninstall any unnecessary stuff and manually update stuff.

Bleh, new cccp doesn't show thumbnails correctly for ogm/mkv now also. Fuck this shit..

What version of stuffs are you using gulk? I'm trying to figure when and why ogm/mkv stopped working. I have a feeling it has to do with haali media splitter, and if not that something ffdshow related.

btw, I'd heard that CoreAVC lost its place as the performance option with recent updates and the advent of LAV; is that still the case? I can't even play some of the coalgirls 720p releases anymore and 1080p used to be the only thing that ever gave me trouble. Not sure if it's just their encodes (since they're goddamn huge in comparison to other release groups) or what

using mpc-hc w/ LAV, can't run madVR
