Just watched Kino no Tabi, so awesome. Is there anymore anime that's similar to it that I can watch?

I had problems with the latest CCCP and 10bit. It didn't play right. I don't know what would have made it better. I just got rid of it and stuck with manual install of Madvr instead. Much of the Coalgirls stuff is encoded in 10bit now. LAV filters only will not do the job.
@samalis: What aspect of Kino no Tabi did you like? I feel Haibane Renmei has a similar feel/aesthetic quality. Mushishi is also very much like KnT with the traveling alone/fairy tale aspect. I would check both of those out if you haven't seen them. Somehow Princess Tutu jumped to mind too, it's pretty dark and has kind of a similar feel to some of the aspects of KnT.
Could care less about the thumbnails personally... when I watch anime, I watch the newest... -> view list -> sort by date is what I have it at, I have folder names with how many episodes are in each so I know what I haven't watched yet if a folder has like 11-12 episodes and the folder is marked with 8-9
Just watched the 26 episodes on Tenjou Tenge. I know there is the manga, but are there more of the anime? Plans for it? I really enjoyed it.
There's a film, but that's it.
I'm looking for something kind of specific, and not easy to find.
I need some lesser known, or maybe popular but it's lesser known that they have english dubs.
I have a friend who is borderline addicted to anime now, after I introduced him to a couple series. The problem is, the guy has borderline ADD and just can't watch a series with subtitles.
That annoys me to no end, but I put up with it and look for dubs for him to watch. I've recommended him most all of the classics/major shows that I watched, or that I can think of, but I don't know if I'm missing any.
Feel free to list whatever you can think of. Anything is appreciated.
Well, what is he into? I'd just throw him at Netflix if he has that, as they've got a wide variety of dubs, for better or worse.
I'm not a big Gundam fan. That being said, could I watch Gundam Unicorn and understand it okay or does it assume prior knowledge of the timeline it's placed it?
I didn't watch Unicorn, but I'm gonna make a wild guess and say that yes, you will understand everything. Every Gundam series are independent, even if some happens in the same timeline (usually 30-100 years before or after the events of another series). I'm not even sure what else is in Unicorn timeline, but if there is, I wouldn't worry about it.
chihayafuru new ep so good
Oh wow I just watched 13 not long ago and here's a new one alreadyYay!~
Oh god, so good.
Unicorn runs on the UC timeline, the only good timeline in Gundam Universe, but as long as you understand some background like the characters mentioned (God, Lesser god, man who slaps Lesser god), Earth Federation (Amurrka), Zeon (Space Nazi), newtypes (elf and/or wizard), etc, you shouldn't be too lost.
throw him to hellsings mercy! i think the dub is actually well produced and the VA's are actually English instead of americans putting on a voice
@ samalis is your avatar from Dexters laboratory? i vaguely remember that Mr T style char from one of Deedee's day dreams
Was thinking Hellsing but I figured that was one he probably already picked, also I don't think english VAs continued past a certain episode which would really suck if he got hooked.
I can't believe how they ended Tenjou Tenge so abruptly. The manga actually gets really damn good right after the part where the anime ends. Kind of sad that the middle of Tenjou was rather shitty and then right where the anime finishes, the series starts getting good again.
