'kay but what about broken blade?
Broken Blade is awesome, and if anyone disagree with me, they're wrong.
How can a show with such an amazing OP be bad anyway?
[edit]
I know I'm biased since I loved it, but the animation and music alone should make it worthwhile. It was some of the best I've seen excluding high profile movies/ovas. Some people could argue the story was too generic, but I personally thought it had better writing than most. The setting was actually believable, and most characters were relatively deep and mature compared to your average anime characters. I could nitpick a few things if I wanted, but it was still top tier material in my opinion.
Just keep in mind that while the OVA offer some sort of closure, the story is far from over. You might end up having to read the manga if you liked the story...if that's a problem.
+1 on Break Blade.
Watch it!
Sentai Filmworks should just leave dubbin to Funimation. At least they can make some characters sound alright in dub form.
Is that a computer screen recorded with a video camera? Even worse, a computer screen showing a video that could have just been uploaded directly? In either case, i couldn't hear anything. The beginning of the first kind of sounded like it was done by a japanese person who has never spoken english before, but then i can't really tell if that's just from the shitty audio quality.
Got my Sekirei collections in and I swear this is like pokemon but with big tits instead.
Gotta kiss 'em all
Sekirei!
Can anyone Recommend a good site to get Seikon no Qwaser seasons one and two blu ray quality??
Just downloaded all of Steins;Gate, Nichijou, and Madoka. Gonna start them after I finish Michiko to Hatchin(which is actually pretty good). If they're as awesome as people say, I'm in for a week or two of complete awesomeness.
Still gotta watch Nisemonogatari too. Have all of that, but I haven't started it yet.
Which order do you guys recommend watching these?
Edit: Oh, and Mawaru Penguindrum. I got all of that too. Recently bought myself a new laptop, so I can finally watch shit in 1080/720 and not have to look/wait for xvid/avi shit!
i'd put shaft on priority, but ikuhara was shinbou before shinbou is shinbou, so penguin drum should be pretty high up there too, and stein's gate was probably the best story driven series of last year...so...
yeah, i'd watch all 4 at the same time.
Personally I'd go Madoka > S;G > Penguindrum > Nichijou > Nisemonogatari. They're honestly all great series so it doesn't really matter what you start with as long as you manage to watch them all.
Sounds good. Can't wait to start these.
Bakemonogatari is going to be dubbed and release of the light novels in na. inb4dubhatersgonnahate
is that even possible? I'd argue that it'd be borderline impossible to do considering it revolves around a bunch of japanese wordplays as the crux of the explanation and storyline.
not to mention that the best part of the series is just the dialogue and the chemistry between the characters, which i doubt they'd be able to emulate in dub.
Is this like the old remnants of an April Fool's joke?
Obviously it's possible to dub it. Don't be retarded.
This is all irrelvant. None of this matters when dubbing an anime. All they need to do is hire a third year japanese student to translate it, then find some bored kids on the street and offer them a pack of skittles to read it.I'd argue that it'd be borderline impossible to do considering it revolves around a bunch of japanese wordplays as the crux of the explanation and storyline.

i'd argue that i was referring to whether it'd be possible to make a dub that's not a complete piece of crap, but to do so would imply that there are dubs i find acceptable.
that's just crazy talk.
Yeah I have no idea how they'd translate stuff like the constant word play and double meanings. Things like tsundere, moe, etc. are things I don't think I've seen translated either. Bakemonogatari is a bit too meta sometimes, no way would a dub be even remotely as good as the original.
As for the light novels being translated, that excited me if they just translate them and translate them well and explain any Japanese jokes instead of trying to reproduce them in English.
Of course the current precedent says well only see 2 or 3 Volumes released a year.
Finished Madoka, and while I didn't think it was amazing like a lot of people seemed to, I thought it was pretty good.
One thing that bugged me, though, was the character design. I really dislike that moe/little girl type of shit. And I know, it was most likely done on purpose with the dark story to make it stand out or whatever. Still took a little away from it for me. Oh well. It might make getting the girlfriend into it easier. Lol. Anyway, I'd say it was about a 8/10.
Now to start Steins;Gate.
I watched about 10 episodes of it around the time it was still coming out. I didn't really care for it until they started messing with the text messages, but from what I understand, it doesn't start getting REALLY good till later. Is that right?
