Looking for some help finding new anime to watch. What are some good movies/series that are not full of loli's and extreme fanservice?

What do you recommend for someone that has no interest in moe and or anything set in a high school?

edit: also some visually stunning recommendations would be nice too

Umineko no Naku Koro ni was licensed by NIS American recently. Plans for a premium edition dvd/bd release in December.

Just like with Occult Academy's NA release this will probably just be subbed only.

Is it common now or more common for NA releases to be subs? Would be cool to see subs become the norm while dubs are reserved for releases that can afford to make them worthwhile.

NIS releases are sub only while Sentai Filmworks and Funimation do hyp(sub/dub) releases.

So what do you guys consider as fanservice? To me it's like a coin because the sides are viewed differently by people.

This is fanservice a typical person would except, minus visible tits:

While I don't mind that, gulk sure as hell doesn't either, it bugs some people a lot.

The other side is something someone would get all excited over, if mentioned or shown as a cameo, in a meta series or a studio's previous work in their new series.

Such as the MS-06 Borjarnon from Turn ∀ Gundam as an example.

It's obviously a nudge towards the Zaku 2 from 0079 Gundam.

I'm curious what you guys think because it bugs the shit out of certain people.

The occasional homage is fine. Fanservice in the form of T&A doesn't bug me, either. Sex sells, feminist prudes, blah blah.
