Figured I'd ask here. Anyone remember an anime named Guy? It was pretty old school and similar to Guyver actually. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

EDIT: I think it was named Guy... Fuck, it was in one of those old school anime trailers back when you would watch shit on VHS. Might be from ADV films too.

Not all anime viewers are 20+ males.

I watched it, and while I wouldn't rank it high, it had potential until I guess they had to do a sudden rewrite. How much of what happened screws their original intent, I dunno, but you could say there were a few questions still left unanswered. Still think the ED was surprisingly morbid. >.>

I think i made it through 3 episodes of that show. The first was good, but after that, holy shit it got really bad really fast.

Naturally it had potential, but you can't like a show for what it could have been. In the end the final product sucked aaaaasssssss, but occasionally it had nice music and animation. Rest of the show was dumb though.

Well, yeah, it basically came down to "Power of Friendship!" but that's not exactly a rare theme in anime.

Not that I have a problem with that (what do you think Persona is all about lol), it's just the wrong direction for a show that basically sets up with the shit hitting the fan. Between that and the most hilarious engrish I can remember in recent memory, that show had a lot of problems to deal with.

Symphogear is one of those series that looks like it's going to be grimdark and edgy and then they shove a bunch of cliche comedy down your throat.

Good music though. And I imagine a much larger budget for the second season.
