Saw this as well; pretty sure afew people here care about Sailor Moon IIRC.
Got the Berserk 1 movie dvd earlier today and I'm glad I waited to see it. 3D models just looked stupid as fuck.
I've only seen about 10 episodes of Rinne no Lagrange and Mouretsu Pirates, I remember both being OK but nothing terribly exciting or cool really happened. No characters to really like and it was all just very plain and friendshippy. Question is, are these two series worth watching to the end? Because I get the impression that they aren't.
They're good, but not great.
Rinne is enjoyable, but kind of comes out flat, there are these NGE/Raxephon/Neo Ranga/Crest of the Stars cues present, but the show never really executes them, so it's very frustrating if you're expecting them to.
Mouretsu is better, though the premise drags a bit, it takes too long to get to important things happening (and it never really has the weight it should have). The light novels may be better than the anime.
That said, there are a lot fucking worse shows you could watch.
Also, BOTH are getting movies, so....
I don't remember ever seeing anything about "Sword of a Stranger" around here and I have no idea why.
Watched it last night and I'd say it was one of the best action anime movies I've ever seen.
My sig Sath!
Every time I stumble upon this cd anywhere,
it immediately makes me want to rewatch Ergo Proxy.
I need to watch Ergo Proxy again as well, and this time watch it to make sense of it all. Enjoyed the trip all the way, but it ended and I couldn't really remember what the fuck happened. It was cool though, the episode where they're stranded in some wasteland while waiting for the wind to blow is easily one of my favourite episodes of anime ever.
I just picked up the Steins;Gate blu-rays and the dub is surprisingly good. It's also interesting to see all the foreshadowing this time around since I already know what's going on.
Seirei no Moribito was so good. I don't see enough recommendations for it on here. Watched it on a whim.
Edited...didnt see there was a thread already for the new GITS...delete at will...
Finished Blassreiter and Heroic Age recently. Both of them were good and shit just went down in Blassreiter quickly. Did not expect to see deaths left and right like that.
Just re-watched this and the only way the plot 'falls apart' is that there's no giant battle at the end. It just kind of putters out, when I think everyone expects there to be a huge war or fight or something. But that's not altogether unrealistic, sometimes shit happens like that XD
In the end, it went exactly where it said it was gonna go with no frills and no loose threads, at least as far as I saw.
Spoiler: show
Speaking of plots falling apart, I recently watched Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. It's amazing how much less bad it is.. assuming you went and ready parts of the wiki/etc after finishing it the first time.
About to finish Kokoro Connect now. My heart was in turmoil the entire time. I was so entangled I even forsook some rl responsibilities because I couldn't stop watching.
Kokoro Connect is genuinely good. The only thing that ruins it is that bullshit the VAs pulled, but if you can get over that (or don't care), it's a quality show.
