Despite all of the positive things I heard about Oshi no Ko, I ignored it because I am not into the whole idol thing, even though I knew it wasn't specifically about idols and more about the industry and related etc, I put it in my backlog to eventually check out if I got around to it. Figured to give it a try sooner rather than later, and kjshldkfjh fucking holy shit balls, it has been a very rare occasion that I enjoy every single second of an anime. I haven't been as emotional watching a series in quite a long while. EP1 alone is a masterpiece, and everything after that is just amazing. S2 cannot come soon enough.

I'm 3 min into ep 1, and i noticed the bar on my player being rather still at the beginning, I did not imagine a frigging 80 min first episode.
I better get more food lol

EDIT: Holllyyyy shit what a lead of a first episode. I did recall reading the summary of it so I was aware of what might happen but like like this. In fact I was glad I finished my food about 65 mins as the last 15 mins hits a bit different

EDIT2: I was prepared to abandon it when I thought this would be a child show (I dislike shows where the MC is are kids, these days) but I can stomach it fine due to what's happened

Oh I didn't know this; was it actually in cinemas in JP?
I just assumed it was a double length like thing, similar to Sword Art Online's first ep in Season 3!

(unless you mean cinematic as in movie length, which is fair enough. 81:25 episode)

I initially avoided it because any time I get a whiff of idol focus it just feels like it'll be moe bullshit. So while the generic synopsis did it no favors and I can't quite say it kept up the momentum, I'm still curious about it for S2.

Finally catching up to the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen and the story really has me scratching my head. The animation has been awesome at least.

I still don’t understand what the whole point of the maid getting kidnapped and then saved off screen was. Then all of a sudden they’re in Okinawa. The pacing of it all seemed so janky I can only assume they had to cut some content out.

Think I might also have to read the manga to figure out the whole Zen’in clan and however that fits in with Fushiguro and those two chicks from the first season that couldn’t wield curse energy.

Man the Pluto anime on Netflix is so good! Enjoyed the hell out of it. Loved all the throwback to Astro Boy and the detective Noir spin on it.

Megumi's rabbits are the real MVPs. Having the rabbits throwing hands with Toji was amazing and hilarious.

Hearing that the animators at Mappa are saying fuck it and JJK episode 17 might be the end of the line, at least until they can get things sorted out re: scheduling. Apparently the animators requested a break (because they're being ground into dust, as is tradition), but were denied by production.

Another JJK masterpiece. It sucks to think that this might be the last amazingly animated episode of the season with the whole Mappa thing going on, cause they haven't even gotten to my top favorite part of the arc yet.
