Random Anime Thread.

Without giving too much away if people are interested, basic premise is:

Main character (Rick Gladiator -- yes, that's his name) always dreamed of being an adventurer. But ended up getting a stable job (clerk at a guild that gives jobs to adventurers).

Chance meeting with one of the party members in his 30's. They all share the same dream, he ends up quitting his job and going off with him. But since he's past the 'peak' that allows people to develop their potential, said party gives him some extreme (to put it lightly) training.

Rick ends up stupidly strong.

But for the first few episodes, at least, seems completely unaware of it.

So yeah, strongest disciple vibes.

Or also me when I finally played through the main story of PSO2 after mainly just logging in to do EQs and dailies with my best friend, maxing out various jobs and having 13 star equipment.

Still probably a bit off since it is just listed as 2025, but the next anime from the person that did Nichijou was announced. Manga is just called City, but I guess they added the animation part so it was easier to search for lol.



I haven't read the manga, but it sounds like if you liked Nichijou, this is more of that pretty much, and that is probably one of my favorite comedies ever.

a 4 year production for 4 episodes? good lord. I'm sure part of it was getting the animation just right, but that still seems like an incredibly long time.

So Uzumaki ep1 was pretty amazing. ep was only 22 min also. Hopefully the other 3 episodes are longer

It's really great so far though. The animation is beautiful. The scenes are taken straight out of the manga, panel-for-panel. I suppose they are doing a speed run with only the scariest scenes for the series.

There are some animation choices and techniques they used that blew me away honestly. mostly it was at 24frames I think but then there was a certain scene where it it swapped to a slow mo high frame rate that just really really sold it.

I watched it last night after seeing the comments here. I usually watch Toonami but I felt really tired Saturday and I always record it anyway just in case.

Damn.. it is so bad someone should be fired. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. All the waiting and hype and this happens. I would really like to know what Demarco meant by them getting screwed over.
