So good. One of the few episodes of any show that I immediately watched a second time.

Sounds like a lot of people in Japan didn't like it lol. I guess cause it wasn't 1:1 with the manga.

A big one was that the flash of "that man" was too quick, which I guess I kind of agree with, but I still loved it either way.

Some of the complaints I saw on reddit were

that they rushed through Mai dying, which I think is kinda dumb because the point was that she's gone. I'm sure there are some Japanese complaints that they killed off Mai and not Maki because Mai was the conventionally attractive one and Maki looks really butch now.

While I felt like Maki icing the goons dragged a little, probably last track of body count/corpse placement, and could've had some better choreographed cuts here and there, I actually feel like a lot of the more powered combat at the end was lame. No real showing of how she escaped the clap or fist barrage, just poof there in smoke. Her just floating around being punched while sandbagging was also kind of head scratching since all it did was make the speed hits seem weak.The multi-angle punch did get a chuckle, though, even if I had to groan at the fact the dude both lived and was walking around soon after. Like, 40% of your face was just shattered, bro...

I dunno, maybe it's just endemic to chasing suga moments.

I only watched the original with the Shinji + Asuka together after the apocalypse ending. I think that's what I remember, at least. Are the others since then anything worthwhile?
