Latter half of Flit, and Asemu post-highschool bullshit, are the high points. Kio and beyond starts off ok, but it rapidly becomes terrible and neither Flit nor Asemu can salvage that shit olympics. The female cast is quite terrible aside from Captain Alloy and Arisa. And, in my opinion anyway, the Vagans are probably among the dregs of SEED-tier terrible antagonists. Oh, and be ready for lots of absolutely retarded filler that contributes nothing except to waste a span of 2-4 episodes several times (the Fardain and Girard Spriggan episodes are probably the poster children for this).

Frankly anything but totally wiping the Vagan all out makes no real sense given all the plot holes and other zealous, unsymapthetic nonsense about their motivations. Fram and Zehart are maybe the only ones who even approach that level, and even then.

Also Mars Rays is the dumbest fucking plot device (essentially defying all logic about how cosmic radiation or harmful particles would work) and could have been resolved by simply moving Second Moon away from fucking Mars (and trying to care for those already contaminated, while subsequent generations born away from Mars and it's atmosphere don't have to deal with it). And you'd think abandoning further efforts to colonize Mars would be an excellent idea with this problem known, with a second colonization effort being pretty stupid, right? Nah. They fucking do exactly that after the series ends, but now it's done with some ridiculous Everse System technology from the EXA-Database and AGE System in place to limit the magnetic storms that spread Mars Rays-causing particles (utilizing leftover Vagan MS mainly).

Ishigaki designed most of the Vagan shit and he deserved a better series after how great his designs for Victory were. At least Ebikawa's Federation MS were largely good (even if some were rejected 00 designs) and made for great HGAG kits too.

TL;DR: I didn't like AGE.

Ishigaki really did shine on a few designs in AGE. Legilis, Defurse and Zeydra come to mind as real stars.
AGE-3 Orbital was really neato but it ended up relegated to obscurity.

So when the inevitable RG Unicorn comes do you guys think it will be transformable or a double release for Unicorn and Destroy mode ala Gundam MK 2 and GP01. I ask cause a year ago I asked about a theoretical PG Unicorn in this thread and now we have one that's basically what me Edelwiess speced out.

It'll have to be transformable, otherwise they might as well have not even bothered to make a RG. At least they can justify the costs via being able to make a myriad of versions from the novels, OVA, and manga (Unicorn, Banshee, Phoenix). That includes a multitude of Full Armor and like 6 different possible Unicorn variant kits alone, plus four Banshees.

Also the first Gunpla/Gunpla Expo event of 2015 kicks off at the tail end of February and runs through mid-March; might be some neato Premium Bandai stuff and a regular release or two from the MG and HG lines announced at the end in there. I haven't really seen any Expo guide like we usually have published at the door/websites, so eh.

Xi Gundam won that contest and will be in Try before the series is over. Speaking of Xi Gundam why have 3rd parties taking a liking in the suit so much? The Model Comprehend Xi Gundam Gundoom looks really legit and not like a typical bootleg. Then you have that Mechanicore version which is a literal display case type.

Even on a stand getting it to pose spread eagle is a pain but it can actually do it unlike the PG so yeah. Pretty much another RG that surpasses the PG in every way.

I just finished the build before taking that I was just making sure it could actually be posed like that. The PGs wings are so heavy and the joints so loose that wings just plain can't stay up like that.
