Was looking for some stuff on that and I just realized that people use sand paper to remove nubs and it left me confused. I've never had an issue with just using my god hands to cut off the nub and using 1000 grit to remove the remaining mark. Unless were talking about the obnoxious pieces that are gated to a perfectly round section.

    lol

also, the majority of us can't afford/find god hands, which do make a pretty significant difference from the $30 tamiya side cutters i (and many others i know) use

Well, if you're already dropping 30 on the Tamiya cutters, you might as well spend a little more and get the single-action (or double-action) God Hands. lol

That said, the demand seems to outpace the supply even in 2015..

They're going for 80 now? lol I got two pairs two years back for 50 total, so maybe those are a new model?

Edit: I think you're referring to that overpriced as fuck listing on Amazon.

http://www.hlj.com/product/mnesen-115/Sup - these are the double-edge/double-action pair and these are single-edge/single-action (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10189440) pair. Even with international shipping.. that 80 dollar price on Amazon is a crazy mark-up.

Since you aren't in the market for em then I get that you dont know but - this shit doesnt ever show up. People have ordered form these sites for months and months and its always "backordered". Their orders arent getting filled. Only way people have gotten them is through paying out the ass or having a friend in Japan (some small Gunpla communities I know have people fill order themselves for about 60 per).

78 people waiting on that shit on 1999.co.jp lol

Whoever posted (I guess it was like two years ago at this point) that HLJ had them back in stock, you have my thanks then.

Is there any rhyme or reason as to which model kits come with base stands and which don't? Banshee was the first one I got that didn't and it caught me off guard because I had figured they all did D:

it is seemingly random... i have purchassed kits that essentially do not ufnction without stands that don't come with one and i have purchased kits that make no sense to have a stand that come with one. *shrug*

Is Try ending in like four or five episodes? The way they talk about the open tournament kinda makes me think there's gotta be more..

Finally, a freaking awesome fight. Loved it. And yeah, SD dragon gets 2 episodes and this doesn't, lol.

    Spoiler: show

The G-Portent's repair bits were really cool, and I liked the supply strategy Lucas used. Full Cloth in battle was so hnnng, made me want a Crossbone anime more than ever. Transient angel deus ex machina shit was meh but that's gundam for ya

Been thinking about getting the RE Mk III for a quick build -- anyone heard any strong opinions on it one way or another?

I paid 40 for mine and waited four months for my order to be filled. On the stand thing well riddle me this why does the HGUC Gaza-C come with a stand but the HGUC Gaza-c Haman version doesn't. Seriously I got the Haman version after looking on Dalong and was pissed when I opened the box and there were no stand parts. Also most newer kits don't seem to come with stands these days only the parts to make the action bases work.

Also we better get a MG G-Portent at some point with the repair bits. That shit was the coolest thing either of the Build Master series have pulled out yet.

I'd assume orders are filled in the order they were placed, so that explains the waiting. That said i'm still surprised the supply:demand ratio is still as bad as ever.

In the middle of the build for the RG Justice and my god is that backpack stupidly huge. Think it has more panel lines on it then the rest of the kit combined.

Of course it can't stand on its own without a stand what did I expect.
