Hmm. Sounds like I need to start watching AGE again. I stopped around 20(a couple episodes into Aesemu's arc) 'cause I was getting bored again after all the awesome in the end of Flit's arc, and waiting for more episodes to come out.
Wolfwood Prometheus Gundam from Wing: Frozen Teardrop is revealed. Missile pods everywhere.

Apparently it's armor coverage isn't complete at this point; 75%.
Also; it looks like Crossbone getting animated won't have the opportunity to occur until fall of 2014 at the earliest if there's any truth to The Origin being two sets of 26-episodes each (the first being presumably this fall, and likely concluding next spring or summer). AGE doing better as of late might also lead to investment in an animated sequel or something too, though this seems unlikely.
I have a pessimistic feeling it may be several years more though.. unless they really try and make it an OVA (which would turn out terribly; just follow up Unicorn with Hathaway's Flash). Crossbone: Ghost should be concluding sometime in the winter of 2013; but it's approximately occuring at the time of Victory, so it really wouldn't come up until the very last arc of a potential anime anyway.
Bandai finally seems to be getting behind the idea of releasing weapons and customizing parts outside of MS kits, with the July release of the vernier and beam effect parts.. and customization part sets (posable hands, spikes, etc.). Also look for the future release of MS weaponry as side sets for Master Grades, it'll essentially be like the weapon sets released for HGUCs, but obviously 1/100 in scale (and likely updated to fit the hand pegs of modern Gunpla).
Finally, Mega House is reportedly going to release a 1/8 Full Frontal PVC statue this winter.
Since these questions were asked in a PM; i'll respond here since doubtlessly others likely have some curiousity about it too.
With regards as to how long Frozen Teardrop is set to run? My guess would roughly three years or so. This means, of course that it will conclude sometime in the fall (probably) next year (although my knowledge on the progress of the novel is somewhat limited since I am missing afew Gundam ACEs). Of course, this naturally leads into the follow-up question; will it get animated? I don't know how popular FT is at the moment, but i'd imagine it being a good candidate for an OVA series atleast (I don't think there's going enough material to do a TV series), especially if NBH wanted to draw fans of Wing.
Bump time.
So, it's quite probable that the Republic of Zeon's role/appearance will be altered based on the latest Great Mechanics DX article discussing Ep.5 and the remainder of Unicorn.
From the article, one of the two scenarios are probable. The first is one that follows the novels (albeit cutting out some of the L1 Junction battle unfortunately) with the Garencieres-Nahel Argama alliance fighting the Republic of Zeon forces.
The second rolls things into a running pursuit-battle between the General Revil and its forces, the Garencieres-Nahal Argama, and the Neo Zeons during the journey towards L1; which is where presumably the Republic of Zeon forces (Hi-Zacks and Hi-Zack Customs atleast) will be waiting to delay the General Revil for the Sleeves..
I guess Riddhe and the Banshee will be getting up into space to reinforce the General Revil too, fairly early in the episode (it'll be on one of the Garuda's shuttles, with Martha's blessings).
Edit: Also, probably going to see the glorious return of the Barzam (probably not the Refined Barzam, sadly), Dooben-Wolf, Schuzrum-Dias, Zssa, Bawoo (mass-production model) and perhaps even a Zaku III among the combined RoZ/Sleeves forces. Hopefully they won't get treated like shit or given brief cameos; it'd be a real shame to not give them alittle limelight after such a long time. Besides, it isn't as if any of those MS are obsolete or technologically behind the Jegan, ReZEL, or Geara Zulu. There was also mention of new music too; but they likely won't be released on an OST until Ep.7 (which is going to be a larger OST than we're accustomed to).
Gundam AGE episode 40 just dropped. The drama only gets better and better from here. Kio has pretty much adopted the Kira Yamamoto ideal, Ultimate Gundam and all.
Time for an UNDERSTANDING ending
Is AGE the one that was announced last year? And is it a U.C.? I was still waiting to see Unicorn.
Yeah this was originally a AGE thread, but got derailed into other Gundam specifics. AGE is not UC, but it draws from it with a 100 year war instead. And the 5th UC episode was a couple months back. 6th will be releases next year and the final episode(7th) is on an undetermined date.
I've been wanting to see it but I'd rather watch the whole thing at once than waiting six months to see what happens next.
Unicorn/UC won't be finished until late 2014; the increased time between installments is probably due to them realizing they are simply not going to fit the remaining story into the current average episodic run length (which was more or less implied when they talked about Ep. 7 becoming necessary; and that Ep.6 and 7 will probably be released on DVD seperately, akin to the Blu-Ray). It'll be a long wait if you are set on watching them all together; personally i'd recommend just watching what is availible now.
AGE will be finishing in the next ten or eleven weeks (9 episodes left, plus time alotted for catchup marathons and stuff prior to the last episode); presumably MSG: The Origin (alternative take on the UC 0079 series) previews will be trotted out when AGE is about done. Of course, I think it may not begin airing until perhaps November at this rate.
Also, at the Gundam Expo in China, apparently a poll was conducted regarding what series they would like to see animated. Guess which one topped the list by a good margin? Crossbone, in its entirety. It's a clear message if anything I would think Sunrise; make it happen.
Was Blue Destiny on the list? It's probably not long enough to warrant it but I always wanted to see it animated.
I'm sure it probably is; but it is fairly short (enough that let's say a hypothetical 3 hour length OVA episodes could fit the entire story; including the space finale).
Frankly, if they ever were to animate it, it would probably be in some kind of MS/Gundam Ace series that covers several of these side-story pilots (like Lydo Wolf, the White Dingoes, Shin Matsunaga, Johnny Ridden and the rest of the Chimera Corps, etc.). Now that I think about it, why hasn't this been done already? The White Dingoes, Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden are very popular characters; any OVA (or perhaps even enmasse-coverage TV series..) dedicated to them would probably do well. There's a shitload of other characters (like the G04 and G05 pilots), and the Chimera Corps members who aren't a main focus, who can get cameos or minor appearances to cover everyone/everything.
Were there actual pilots for 04/05? I never really knew if there was anything on those suits outside of the artwork and the appearance in Encounters In Space.
Yes; Luce Kassel (G04) and Ford Romfellow (G05) stationed on a Pegasus-class refit, the Thouroughbred. They first appeared in their 1 volume manga Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: From Place Beyond the Blaze, and their EiS missions are adapted from it. The aforementioned G04 and G05 are part of the second production block of Gundams (based off the first the combat and performance data of 78-1, especially the 78-2, and 78-3) with the Alex and Mudrock (the latter of which should atleast cameo if they animate, Jaburo and all).
Of course, the Mudrock would kinda get substantally more screentime if the Midnight Fenrir team is as popular as it seems they are.
They just need to do Crossbone already imo, that missing gap between Victory and the rest of UC is annoying from an anime standpoint.
They butchered the F91 adaption by trying to cram everything in 1 movie, if they went back and redid it all that'd be cool but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Crossbone animated has pretty much been asked for by everyone familiar with it.
