Re-GZ has an old MG that's been out for.. i'll say atleast 11 years; Delta Plus was released in August 2011. I suppose they could 2.0 the Re-GZ... but eh, the glaring holes in the Jegan line (they have atleast 3 variants, A, A2, D alone between CCA and UC; plus the Jesta) and the Doga line (119 and derivatives like the Heavy Arms-type, Jagd Doga) are more pressing.

Then there's the slew of Geara Zulu variants (and their fuckton of differing weapons) that are rather minor changes (and in this case, are actually shown legitimately sharing weapons and equipment between the Doga and Zulu). If they sincerely wanted to, they could probably eat up an entire year with just these MS alone. lol

Also, before I forget; a Bandai representative joked that the Hyaku Shiki 2.0 would use alot of the Delta Plus' frame.. (in-universe joke since the Delta Gundam had a frame unable to endure the transformation stresses). If it is indeed possible, I don't see why not.. and maybe do the armor gates in a way that has them on the inside this time (really does blow to have a specially coated kit with the usual sprues). Nu and Sazabi could probably use the 2.0 too; especially the former due to some bad proportions (the head..lol, atleast 15% too large).

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...olfsmund-manga

North American publisher Vertical announced at its Otakon panel on Sunday that it licensed Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga, Mitsuhisa Kuji's Wolfsmund manga, and Hiroki Azuma's General Will 2.0: Rousseau, Freud, and Google philosophy book.

Gundam: The Origin is a 23-volume re-imagining of Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise's first Mobile Suit Gundam anime project by the anime's character designer. Yasuhiko takes the One Year War that launched this influential "real robot" story and offers his own interpretation with tweaked mecha designs, extended subplots, and reworked story elements.

The manga launched in the inaugural issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Gundam Ace magazine in 2001, and it ended a decade later with an announcement of a new anime project. Viz Media published part of the manga in North America before, but it stopped about a quarter of the way into the series. Vertical will publish the series in hardcover, similar to the ongoing Keepsake Edition (Aizō-ban) reissue that Kadokawa Shoten is publishing in Japan.

    Wouldn't mind owning legit copies

Is 00 worth watching? I've heard horrible things about season 2.

Yes. Season 2 just kind goes left field with some things, but it's at least watchable.

I enjoyed the movie though, while some others did not. I just took it for what it is.

Gundam 00 is definitely worth watching. Season 2 doesn't compare to Season 1 for reasons Insane stated(you will know exactly what he's talking about a few episodes in when all the Meisters gather) but it's still good, especially when compared to its predecessor SEED.

Probably not terribly surprising for most here, but the AGE Master Grades are selling poorly (worse than the 1/144s, which are medicore). I'd suggest not being surprised if the Hobby Division opts to not bother with an AGE-3 or FX at this point.

    Spoiler: show
And if your Unicorn sales are anything to go by, MG Jegan or Doga/Zulu might overcome shortfalls (hint).

I guess between the target age group just not being very interested and the decided majority of those above it not giving any fucks.. yeah. At this point they are likely just hoping to break even; any prospect of an AGE film project is certainly dead now as well (although that report wasn't verified to begin with, afew months ago).

Finally, the latest business reports (following Episode 5) pretty much confirm that Unicorn is largely responsible for about an annual growth of 18.5% in Gundam sales since 2010. It very likely is the reason AGE's poor performance isn't resulting in outright panic (the fact that The Origin is on the horizion is also helping).

I miss having time/money for MGs, a bunch of mine got broken in a house move. I still have an unopened Ez-8 but finding paints for 08th kits is always a pain.

I never really painted my MGs, just did lining on em. They look better with paint but that was generally my main appeal of MG's in that they don't need painting to look good. And yea alot of mine have been broken over the years because of people I've lived with just moving shit without caring and then they fall over. Only ones left unscathed are Strike Noir and God Gundam, along with a 1/100 Duel + Legend(I have an Ez8 and Kampfer in a box for a few years so idk what condition they are in). I got lucky 1 christmas several years ago and noticed Toys R Us was emptying their inventory of the MG line they had on Amazon and grabbed alot of stuff like EZ8, Ground Gundam, Kampfer, etc.

The AGE news doesn't surprise me, while it certainly grew on me after some episodes when I revisited it, trying to compare it to Unicorn in terms of storytelling is never gonna happen, Unicorn is a clear indicator of why people have a raging hardon for UC. Involving the Feddies and Zeon/Zeon remnants automatically supplements a backstory to a series and that makes writing the rest of it easier when you don't need to explain past motives.

Honestly, any old paint would do for Gunpla (i'd probably stick with Testors Acryllics though, non-toxic and water soluable/cleanup, etc. unless you're really into it like myself.. then we start going into enamel/lacquer hazards territory). Should be afew hobby shops online that sell those (or you can opt for spray cans, if brushing isn't your thing/practical) for like 3-6 dollars a jar. I would probably get a bottle of acryllic thinner too (just 2-4 drops for brushing with darker colors, and 1-2 at most for lighter colors).

And yes, Unicorn's very strong performance (and I guess the foreseeable success of The Origin) may likely force a UC series (like Crossbone) to the forefront if Bandai wants to avoid future missteps. The second Universal Century might as well be "new" in a way to fans young and old, given how little attention it's gotten.

Another point here too; AGE's story.. the writing is kind of bad. Too many characters seeing little to no development (or every female character outside of like two, being useless). The multi-generational thing inside 50 episodes already leaves little room for stupid shit like Fardain or high-school fuckery. Even if it's targeted at pre-teen boys, Level 5 could do better. No one probably expected anything like Unicorn/UC series in particular, but there's been SEED-like sloppiness (Morosawa and Fukuda aren't even on the staff, so what the fuck). Unicorn's single fault so far is probably reducing Loni to a monster over her novel version (mainly because they compressed the fuck out of the Earthside arc); same can't be said with regards to all the herpderp in AGE. Flit is pretty bad, and the Vagians are just as terrible.

Still can't stand Kio's UNDERSTANDING bullshit now. Stop going this route with Gundam god damn it. Even 00 had an understanding ending.

An understanding ending would work like it did in 00 if the fucking writing wasn't so herpderp. It's a leap right now to close that gap in the 8 episodes remaining; considering that no one on the Vagian side is even plausibly (though invariably will suddenly become reconciliatory, maybe Zeheart) near that "understanding" position. Flit will probably die, realizing the Vagian genocide tunnel vision of his adult years is wrong. It's about the most I expect out of this now (unless they introduce another throw away character).

They aren't getting a movie either, if they ever were, so they need to end this on as solid a note as possible; a prospect i'm not too sure of given the series' track record.

I have the chrome-coated Char's Zaku as my only survivor. I had the WZC and Heavyarms EW suits, but those were not MGs I think and were kinda cheapos, and the Wing Zero was my first attempt at painting and didn't turn out so well. RX-78-2 is salvageable I think, just the little horn spike broke...but my Alex got royally fucked up, that was the one I was really upset about. Burning got messed up too, but I wasn't the biggest G fan anyways so I could live with that.

So long as you aren't spraying ABS plastic (which you're gonna have to brush or maybe spray acryllic only) with stuff like Rustoleum or Krylon.. PS and PE plastic should do well with the more or less readily availible spray paints from either of those brands. I would recommend getting some finer grade sand paper (or sanding pads), 1500-2000 grit, and evenly sanding flat surfaces before you apply primer to them. Alternatively, you can do a through wash with dish soap and warm water, then try spraying on a fine grade primer (make sure it's not a shitty one, it'll ruin the kit), then proceed to apply your colors.

Also, I guess you don't have the time for them anymore, but there are MGs of all the Hajime Katoki version "original" form EW-version Wing Gundams: http://dalong.net/review/mg1.htm. If your Gatlings from the Heavyarms are still intact/workable, you can do an easy conversion of the MG into the EW Heavyarms Kai (basicly just keep the missle pods and repaint). You're one lucky fuck if they are; could probably eBay them if they're in good condition for 30 bucks (or more).

Probably the easiest of the three without a MG for the upgraded version to convert. Sandrock is alittle more difficult; need to put 8 verniers in the shoulders. Shenlong to Altron is basicly figuring out how to mount the Altron's dragon fangs on the MG's arms (which probably means some brass rods and/or modelling putty).

I've said it before but I dropped AGE after like Episode 10 cause it was really unwatchable. Only until you know who dies near the end of Flit's arc is it actually entertaining, but Kio Asuno and Adult Asemu are like the only people that don't legit make me rage. And Kio is more of a recent thing since having been on Second Moon, there's a sort of reason for him to want to be a pseudo-Kira Yamato and want to save everybody. And Zeheart just straight up trying to ignore Asemu's words in that fight after they left each other on a good note makes NO sense, the whole purpose of that 2nd arc that Zeheart/Asemu's hesitation to kill each other there was they became friends before that and realized they still felt that way after it was revealed they were enemies. But clearly after being in a cryogenic sleep after that event Zeheart can just pretend that didn't mean anything.

I really get flashbacks to Destiny at some moments because the fact there isn't 1 cohesive main character and protagonist means there's too much shit going on and not enough screentime. Already know that Deen is gonna pop up soon in a custom suit and if they botch that whole scene of him vs Kio then I dunno how they expect to have an ending to this people will like.

Pretty much.. this feels like it's going to turn into a poor man's version of Destiny's end. Not much of a leap now for Ezelcant to turn into Durandal. Zeheart is basicly ShinnChar.

Fuck, I wish I had that MS Paint of Durandal pointing at a card, equating the Destiny Plan with jobs. Needs to be shopped for AGE. I guess Destiny won't be needing a HD Remaster release either; AGE does a good job of bringing the terrible.

Kio was such a good Vagan killing machine too. He made granpapa Flit proud. Going to pre-order that when it gets closer to the release date.
