I just hate how the AGE-3 Orbital was expected to be the most badass mother fucker, but then it gets thrashed during its debut. The fuck.

It was clearly made to only sell toys but it's not gonna be flying off the shelves when it didn't look that impressive and most times it was use he got his ass kicked.. AGE-3 Fortress is the shit though.

AGE above SEED+DESTINY? They actually do have tasteThe Japanese Internet service provider BIGLOBE posted the results on Friday of a survey on the best "Heisei Gundam" television series. This is not an official BIGLOBE survey, but a survey conducted by a user named "Jude Saijaku" under BIGLOBE's Anime Ranking Maker system.
The poll is specifically limited to Gundam television series that aired in 1989 (Heisei 1 in the Japanese calendar system) or later, so such titles as Gundam 0080, Gundam 0083, Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Gundam W: Endless Waltz, Gundam MS IGLOO, and Gundam UC are out of the running.
Among the 4,446 self-selected responses from users of BIGLOBE's Anime One portal site, these were the top 9 choices:
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - 697
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing - 540
Turn A Gundam - 522
After War Gundam X - 519
Mobile Fighter G Gundam - 501
Mobile Suit V Gundam - 455
Mobile Suit Gundam AGE - 397
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed - 385
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny - 289
The poll garnered 4446 respondents from August 10th to 17th.
V should be higher, but i'm ok with this.
Also, fuck, only 1 production request away from a RX-78-2 Ver. OYW-based GM Cannon conversion being reality. And 2 for afew Dwadges and Efreets.
It's a terrible thing to know you'll never have a MG Dwadge release, let alone the other two.
Since the question(s) might come, or someone might care:

I'm ok with that list, as much as I love G Gundam it's not really Gundam in terms of plot design and such.
Really liked this scene last episode, did good to remind everyone Flit isn't a serial killer and he has good reasons to hate the Vagan

Gundam Wing should have taken 1st. But I am also OK with this. 00 was pretty epic sans movie in which I pretend doesn't exist.
I'm watching Endless Waltz again atm and UNDERSTANDING in this seems more realistic than a giant flower of love and UNDERSTANDING. But UNDERSTANDING in Gundam should just leave. I want people in giant robots beating the shit out of each others for dominance. Also them eyebrows.
Always dem eyebrows. DOROTHY WHYYYY.
But yeah, I do agree. Far too much UNDERSTANDING in Gundam. I mean, shit...I was glad when they redid the ending to Zeta Gundam with the 3 part OVA. The original ending, while part of an amazing series, made me want to toss something at a wall.
Endless Waltz is still completely less ridiculous than the 00 movie. That shit...
Understanding is fine; it's just that SEED and AGE have basicly incompitently hamfisted the means to the end as only those two series could do.
There's not even the presence of Newtypes either; Unicorn pretty much critiques the actions/uses of Newtypes to that point anyway (the novelization even remarked about how things could have been better/different if people like Haman and Char were able to overcome their flaws). Amuro chastised Char in the same vein too. Thus far, it's maybe around a 50:50 split on Newtypes actually achieving or comprihending eachother beyond the veneer of misconceptions and mistrust (and other shallower/temporary shit like nationality, etc.).
It worked for 00 because CB essentially resolved to commit a sin against mankind by uniting through force, being public enemy No. 1 and then being vanquished to let the world go on living. Then Alejandro's family (and then Ribbons) fucked Schenberg's plans up (as he apparently predicted dissenting elements would emerge) over time; the emergence of A-LAWS basicly necessitated them making up their own solution to achieve the original end (which was to unite mankind and make it ready for the first contact with another sentient species; I guess meaning the emergence of natural Innovators, though it seems that contact occurred earlier than expected).
Movie could have done better in terms of pacing (and not adding new characters like Shaman for no development); but it wasn't that bad.
Morosawa and Hino are just not very good at this whole writing thing; and it sadly shows in how terribad SEED and AGE are. I seriously doubt they could even write the fucking movies for their respective series, let alone make it good. At this point, there doesn't even seem to be room or storyline left for a SEED movie.
AGE has wasted so much time on throwaway characters, or derpy stuff like Fardain, that could have maybe gone towards giving us some characters (besides Lu) to show that the Vagians shouldn't be wiped out like Flitler wants. Zeheart will probably have those magical transformations in his character soon, but it's probably far too late.
Leaked I guess.

Spoiler: show
AGE only has 5 episodes left; total count of 49.
The Nu Gundam is getting a Ver. Ka. treatment in December. So, not V2 but a good Nu Gundam finally (fucking derpy old one's proportions in the head, shoulders). I guess we kind of have to expect a Sazabi next year (or sooner would be cool; same proportion issues in afew areas). I suppose i'll just use the old Sazabi I have for a Nightengale conversion now.
MG AGE-2DH Dark Hound is November's MG. In other news, an AGE MG finally sells well.
HGUC RX-160S Byarlant Custom in November. Buy the fuck out of it please, needs a MG, etc.
I suppose we'll never see a PG AGE-1,2 or even 3 normal w/ wears. Would actually like to see that.
It won't happen; Unicorn is keeping Bandai in the black. Every AGE kit has maybe broken even at best outside of the Dark Hound. There probably isn't even a buyer for a PG AGE kit. The early reveal on the Nu Ver. Ka. is probably because of the fact it's been SEED and AGE pretty much all year outside of the Banshee and Marasai (which means profits are probably down with every AGE MG).
Hilarious that they are skipping the AGE-2 and Double Bullet and going straight for Dark Hound, they don't have faith in AGE model sales anymore. If AGE were popular they could have made easy money on it since they'd just release an AGE-2 recolor in Woolfs theme too. We got like 4 Strikes, ridiculous number of Zaku and RX-78 recolors, etc. I wonder if people even bought the Titans Gundam Mark II 2.0 as much, but they still released it.
When I get a stable enough job to move out. I plan to start my own gunpla collection. Just not exactly sure where to begin.
