I like how they highlighted the monoeye in the art there; Unicorn is probably the only place where the fact the Jegan has a mono eye (as of the original art from CCA) under that visor is highlighted. I'd love to post some of that, but that requires probably debinding (and thus destroying) an out of print book.

1/48 Zeta Gundam bust-display base included with the January 2013 issue of Gundam ACE (November 26, 2012 street date; 980 Yen). There's supposed to be some kind of announcement regarding the Origin too in this issue; so there's that too.

Also, if anyone is curious about some Gundam, RGM, Zaku (or general UC stuff really), drop me a PM or bring it up in this thread; i'll see if I can scan it for everyone's viewing pleasure (since this stuff is probably too expensive to import or out of print).

As I understand it, whenever the current management over at the publisher for Model Graphix retires/moves on we can likely expect the copyrights to be resolved; or failing that, Sentinel suddenly gets quite popular and the financial aspects don't really matter anymore since it'll be raining money (enough for a deal to finally be made).

TL;DR: those are the original no-grade 1/100s (mixed with modern Master Grades like the F91) back from when F91 was released in 1991, and Silhoutte Formula was released in 1992 (as a manga, 1 volume). Most are out of production, unfortunately, but there are SOME you can still get from HLJ (mainly, perhaps some others). If you were to grab any of these, I would strongly recommend you pick up a set of http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN976497 hands for it; the old hands are kinda shitty and thick. Might take some minor sanding or shaving down of the weapons and ball joint to get a perfect fit.. but it is worth it, IMO.

Cool aside; the G-Cannon Magna actually contains the parts for the original F71 G-Cannon, just in a different color (you would still end up needing to paint it anyway.. so really, it's the original in Magna colors with the Magna parts). Given that the original is long out of production, it's a good deal (if you need decals, jack some from the F91 or one of the Zeta/CCA/UC Federation kits).

I have no doubt that we'll probably see alot of those Silhouette variants were F91 to be redone; and naturally, we'll end up getting new kits (these being so old, are frankly even short of the quality of the first Master Grades). Many of these minaturized MS are roughly between 14-16 meters in height, so it'll likely be 1/100s only. It'll also mean shot lancers galore too (including the prototype beam lancers Anaheim quickly makes in answer to the solid ones the C.V. uses).

By the time of Crossbone (in UC 133) though, since the Buch Concern more or less pulls out of backing the Vanguard for financial reasons, they pretty much abandon all the remaining original C.V. MS due to a dried up supply of parts; and essentially rely on the SNRI (for the limited-production version of the F97/Crossbone Gundams, the Flint) and battlefield-salvaged enemy MS like the Batara.

Which reminds me; expect the old MG Crossbone Gundam frame to be reused for the Flint (with a new set of weapons and head, using the antenna from the Skull Heart, and simple X-thruster armor). It'll probably be reused for the F99 Record Breaker too; but again with a different backpack and head, and arms. Any MG Vanguard MS, Jupiter MS, etc. will be brand new everything as dictated by their differences from existing MGs. Although I suspect XM-01 through 03 to share some parts (especially in the arms and legs), and XM-04 and -05 are virtually the same machine, excluding some improvements in the 05 (so 95% identitcal). XM-06 will probably be the only other C.V. MS besides the XM-07 that will not share parts with a different model (exept the hands maybe), unless we count that XM-07 variant from Silhouette Formula. XM-08 will likely be a shrunken XM-01 frame (it's only 10 meters, or 10 cm, tall).

The RXF-91 Kai also has the parts for the original version before the rebuild (so it's probably the better choice).
