I don't know if this is the July MG (it could be), but the MG Marasai is being released with the Feyadeen Rifle and Sea Serpent in Zeon Remnants colors as a Bandai Hobby exclusive. I guess we'll find out by tomorrow.

    Anyway, MG Crossbone Gundam X-2:
    Spoiler: show

They even included the Jupiter Empire marking for the chest.

    MG Jesta:
    Spoiler: show

    Notes:
-It's obvious that they've made provisions in the design for the Jesta Cannon; there are portions of the internal frame and beam rifle that clearly were designed to mount the additional parts of the Cannon add-on from the start. Perhaps they can offer the Cannon variant parts as a seperate kit (unlikely, but it worked with the Victory Dash).
-Several parts (head, arms and legs, primarily) show commonality with the Jegan; an eventual MG Jegan will inevitably reuse some portions of the frame.
-A new type of rolling hip joint.
-The hands are the same Federation-type fully posable hands seen on the Nu Ver. Ka., Sinanju Stein, etc.
-The LED mount works in the same way as the 00, Marasai, Nu, etc. Notice that they integrated the monoeye in with the visor.

WIP images of my XM-04 Berga Dalas conversion:

    Spoiler: show

    Converting XM-05 into XM-04:

Still some work to do on the shelf nozzles; installing the 12 verniers into those triangluar recesses on the upper portions, cannibalizing the joint covers from the Giros' shelf nozzles, and scribing some panel lines/putty work to fix a few things.

Obviously the mohawk is missing; I haven't decided if i'm gonna do it with putty or plastic plate (probably both, plastic plate as the framework). The chin needs to be attached too, but that's lol.

The chest and legs have some minor thruster work; the "heavy" shot lancer is the major thing that needs work out of all parts. I'm waiting on brass machine gun barrels (with those holes in the jackets) to get in stock over at HLJ. I have to redesign the area where the barrels and lance meet too. I think i'm going to go with the standard peg and hole for the shot lancer's mount on the arm (probably just a polycap in the right arm, peg with some herpderp detail around it to plug in). As a bonus, i'm thinking about making a beam flag (see the video below) out of clear plastic and water gel; gonna need one of those clear Saint Seiya stands or something to support that shit though.

    MG Geara Doga in July.

    Spoiler: show

Comes with all of the weapons for the standard/commander type. And of course, LED unit in the chest. Zeonic rounded-type, sonic-welded fully-posable hands.

If the new Shizuoka Hobby Show information is correct, the Geara Doga shares some common parts with the eventual Geara Zulu (aside from the obvious backpacks and weapons). Maybe the MG Jegan (A, A2, D, Stark, and the F90-F91 junkers) isn't the fevered dream of a mad man. I'm positive a guy at HLJ said the Bandai representative who was taking questions (at a Bandai event earlier in the week) said that this is coming with Sleeves marking option parts.. but let's wait for visual confirmation when the event happens (or sooner I guess).

Pretty much count on the Heavy Weapons Lange Bruno (solid shell-type) cannon pack showing up sometime; exclusive or otherwise. That same pack is the basis for Angelo's beam-firing Lange Bruno Kai. And also count on milking the Doga via Full Frontal's version, and of course the Jagd Dogas.

The rapid prototypes of the HG Gerbera Tetra, Doven-Wolf (Ver. UC) and RG GP-01 made their debuts this week too; supposed to see their "final" production versions at the Show.

Can probably also expect the August (I would think..) and maybe September MGs too.

I seen thousands of these in Akihabara last weekend. The one to the left of this one was the nicest, but I forgot to take a pic (Not even sure if these are from Gundam, so sorry if they aren't lol):

Some person's take on a Strike Gundam (that one from Stargazer).

    Spoiler: show

Mamoru Nagano's Five Star Stories (too bad the guy just went to total shit now).

F.S.S. stuff is always expensive because it's limited-production resin kits for the most part (some injection plastic out there now.. but it isn't Bandai quality, of course).

    Code:
     特にホビーショー会場で発表される夏の大型MG新商品は必見!
A large MG 1/100 new product to be presented at the Hobby Show!
GundamGuy is echoing the same thing as the JP side; it probably is the Sazabi Ver. Ka. or (lol) the Kshatriya. Then again, the Rozen Zulu counts as a "large" MS I guess. The wait is killing me.

I wouldn't rule out an MG Meteor unit since they seem to be profiting from SEED recently.

http://www.hlj.com/product/MNESPN-120 is the best; otherwise you're likely to end up spending double (or triple like that one guy, christ) via eBay or whatever. As far as I know, HLJ is expecting that May restock by Friday, May 10th and they'll begin filling orders the same day. By the way, I also recommend getting a cheaper pair of cutters (http://www.hlj.com/product/MNED-3A/Sup or Xurons on Amazon or at Michael's, whatever are fine) for hacking off the large sprues and doing less precise work: these are really fine and meant for just the flush removal of sprue from the part itself (that tiny and thin section on the part).

It's possible, though I doubt it as the support units from various series are pretty much all limited edition/Hobby Shop exclusives in 1/144 scale. It's not going to be a Mobile Armor, sadly, either. I can't really think of any "large" MS from CE aside from the Destroys; so it is likely Unicorn (too soon for Full Frontal's new MS). If there is going to be a MG Meteor Unit, probably count on it being a Bandai Hobby Shop exclusive.

Related: Elyn Hobby's 1/100 injection plastic Kshatriya is approaching sale date; maybe this forced Bandai's hand? They did end up needing metal reinforcement supports for the binders, which is what was "prohibitive" for Bandai when they were asked two years ago. I debated getting it, but the rear of the upper torso is all wrong and I didn't feel like modding it to be correct.

^Bandai is definitely aware of this kit, according to 2ch.

After searching around and looking at your stuff in regards to gunpla, fuck man. Shipping costs isn't easy for this hobby. Think I may wait till the summer before I start buying and building.

It's not as bad as it was when the Yen:US Dollar ratio was like.. 75:1 at least, if there's a silver lining for HLJ. Otherwise, most shipping is like 10 minimum, though HobbyFan does have cheapass saver rates for around 6 (and +2 dollars for every additional thing).

By the way is this you, IC?

Also, there's some uncanny resemblance between the Valvrave and the Cornix from Crossbone. I wonder who designed it. Oh and uh, whenever BlueFin fucking gets my Master Grade prizes in, I don't think I want any of the SEED ones and will be willing to part with them for the cost of shipping or something I guess if anyone of you guys are interested.

Yeah. Was curious what, if anything, someone would say. Never reallly been to /toy/ until I've been wanting to get back into gunpla.

I don't think there's much else aside from some cutters (Xurons are ok, gonna want to upgrade though eventually), a knife or two (can be retractable or standard knife for now), some sand paper (150+ grit, probably wet or dry to allow for wet sanding to cut down on dust; can get that pack of sanding pads of 1500-4000 grit from Hobbylinc or Amazon), and solvent glue (Tamiya in the orange/yellow bottle) or brush-in-bottle superglue (fuck gel) if necessary (probably, for older HGs).

Paint is largely something at your discretion really; you can likely find a decent color selection of spray cans at Home Depot or Lowe's (where you would probably also get that sand paper). Would likely have better luck with artist-quality brushes at Michael's or something like that (they have these nice sable brushes that I really like..); you may find paints there (probably not Model Masters or Floquil Acrylics though). Might want to pick yourself up some glass jars, disposable plastic pipettes (can be graduated, a bonus if they are), and blunt syringes off Amazon when you start painting; I use these often for paint mixing and storing mixed paints - it helps minimize waste.

Painting is something I'm not planning to do right away though. I don't mind how some of them look built straight from the box, but I will get some gundam markers(prob just black) to fill in seam lines that need it.

I've seen pictures of people filling in EVERY seam line and it just looks like shit with all the black lines filled in.

Trust me when I say that proper panel lining (and using a darker shade of the main color for a more subtle appearance) is one of the best ways to avoid the DeviantArt/babby's first gunpla look. lol

Ideally you would want to keep the lining color off the walls of the channel, but that's fucking painstaking in many cases (and practical only for MGs and PGs). At this point probably just concern yourself with making clean lines: you may want to have some rubbing alcohol and q-tips handy to help clean up any excess/smudging. Scribing the line with a dulled knife or a proper scribing tool can also deepen the panel and "define" it more before lining. I don't know if the HGs have mesh-detail power cables or anything, but that would be ideal for a wash (or a ghetto wash using the marker -> careful alcohol-dipped q-tip rubbing).

Maybe ask /toy/ about the Gundam Markers/doing it with Micron pens or whatever; I haven't touched the stuff since my mid-teens a decade ago.
