Not really working on the 00 Q HG that much, taking my time, but damn this back skirt not fitting in at all.
Not really working on the 00 Q HG that much, taking my time, but damn this back skirt not fitting in at all.
It looks like (going off the manual on Dalong) that that rear skirt is just a block peg (on B5) onto which A12 goes; is it a flash (extraneous plastic from moulding) issue on either/both parts? If so, scrape it off with your knife. You may need to (lightly) sand/file the peg down perhaps. If it still isn't working, can you describe (or better yet, take a pic) the peg/slot?
Well actually I mean the front not the back. Has that ball piece you're suppose to stick in the hip isn't wanting to stay in there.
Oh, ok.
This is actually where stuff like Future comes in handy, to tighten up loose joints. If you don't want to buy a bottle of Future (I get about a year out of one, and I use Future often). Your other option is to use super glue and talc powder (or fragranced talc/baby powder): if you can get a brushable bottle of super glue (NOT gel-type), put a light coat on the ball portion and press it into/sprinkle it with the powder. Give it a few seconds, then press down thoroughly all over the ball. Give it 4-5 minutes, then gently test the ball-socket joint. If it's too tight, lightly sand (I think sanding pads are best for this) and keep testing until it's firm enough for your tastes.

If you opt to go the Future route, I advise to coat and let it dry before testing the joint (you may also wish to coat the socket as well). Remember that it's easy to strip it off, just hit it with Windex/some kind of ammonia-containing solution.
So TH put someone elses stuff in my package should I call them or email?
No. They usually add in bonuses (i'm gonna wager they gave you some of the Builder's Parts?) for repeat customers/as an apology if they happen to miss their quoted shipping frame.
Pretty much every order I place with them comes with some of the "special" Builder's Parts; the dark metallic gray verniers (normal ones are gray) and various hand sets. They've even given me a couple kits that had box dents and stuff (older HGs that I harvested for parts).
However, if it's like a fucking MG or something, then that's likely a mistake. lol
No I wasn't clear I got nothing i ordered and got a completely different thing in my package with a completely different invoice that didn't even have my name on it.
Oh.
Then yeah: http://tatsuhobby.com/webstore/index...age=contact_us
I would probably call as that might be the more expeditious route; that's a rather big screw up there.
So, Crossbone time (again):
Jaburo's main facilities proper are still very much annihilated; the crater is still there, though the jungle is reclaiming the land in good order by UC 153. However, the "outer" (I guess maybe it'd be more accurate to call them secondary?) facilities are still virtually intact with their machinery and various facilities, of which the Zeons/former Chimera Corps were using at the time of MSV-R. This isn't the case by the time of Ghost obviously, but the location is a essentially void of any real monitoring by the Federation. I suspect this is going to be a base for their time on Earth, since the Zanscare have established themselves in Europe, the Mediterranean, and Northern Africa/the Middle East (I really hope those Victory MSV are used; the Zollidia Desert is glorious, nevermind the desert colors for the Jamesgun, Javelin, and Gun-EZ).
The desert variants are pretty much the same as their more familiar standard models for the most part, just with added cooling systems and filters to keep the sand out of the joints: they also sport those antennas and some scopes to enable ambushes from within sand dunes/under the sand.
No official announcement, but TH will be getting the MG X-2 and Marasai UC Ver. about 3 weeks to a month after they're released in Japan (online exclusives).
If you would like to get either or both, it would probably be a good idea to contact them via e-mail at [email protected] soon; prices will probably be in the 70s for obvious reasons. You can also try playing against time when they put them up on the Limited Edition/EX Models section, but there's not much point as you aren't required to pay up front.
Also, Great Mechanics DX will have a Crossbone feature this month, as well as a SEED Destiny article; we'll see what comes of either.
A bonus, straight from someone who works at Bandai's official U.S. distributor, Derringer:
I wonder if this means that 45k figure (on all MGs total) wasn't a joke then. I can't even imagine what the HGs are at.. probably double if the trend from Japan is the same here. Also GunPla sales in the U.S. are very strong right now. They are in higher demand and more widely available locally than ever before. Approximately 10,000 Master Grades from the Gundam Wing Endless Waltz line were sold in the U.S. alone in 2012.
Well that was pleasant got a call from TH about this and they said they would cover shipping for both of us to ship the stuff to each. They even are gonna throw me a free MG stand.
Yeah, they really have the best customer service; accidentally ommitted a jar of Gaia Notes paint a couple months ago and just said they'll hold the paint until some of my stuff came in and ship the whole thing to me, minus the shipping fee.
Of course, I got more Builder's Parts too.
Glad it worked out ok for you.
So first the Dollar:Yen ratio is over 1:101.
Second, one of the Korean Gundam conversion kit shops (MS Build?) is supposedly planning on exploring the compatibility of the (apparently rare) Strike Dagger MG Strike Gundam 1.0 conversion kit from a couple years ago. It's probably a fairly ambitious undertaking; I can't imagine that 1.0-based conversion kit really has the connector pegs and stuff.
Third, some MG X-2:
Spoiler: show

Soon. Countdown to Thursday.
Yeah finished the 00 HG Quan[T] finally, yay free time, and I def need to get gundam marker(s) next time. Without the panels colored it looks kinda "bleh".
Thinking of getting HGUC GM Type C (GM Kai) and the 4pc markers from them next time, prob during late June.
What markers of best all around?
ed: Not great with poses either yet...
If you mean for general panel lining, i'd say you'll want to get: black, gray, brown, and maybe light gray/white. This should cover you for darker colors and lighter colors to enough of a degree to be satisfied until you step up to brushing and doing washes, etc. They don't necessarily need to be Gundam Markers either: Sakura Microns and stuff are all used by many modellers. I would probably also argue you go with the finest tip possible (0.05 mm?) if you would prefer much thinner and not so stark lines.
Yeah I don't want Dalong tier panel lining. Want it kinda thin but noticeable from a far.
I assume it's normal to want another kit as soon as possible. Because finishing this makes me want another asap.
It is normal; just wait until you start painting and stuff. Before you know it, you'll have over 100 jars of paint, and shelves/bins of tools. lol
I can't wait until I finally have my housing situation settled - not being able to airbrush is suffering. So many kits laying in their boxes, partially finished aside from painting. At least it gave me time to work on these conversions..
Coolbeans (and anyone else who wanted the single-action Godhands); next HLJ shipment is probably going to be in about three weeks (first week of June) - still a fair backorder's worth of people waiting for them. There's a similar trend with other retailers (with good reason, of course..), supply can't seem to ever keep up with the explosion in demand this year.
Strike Ver. Remaster/2.0. It can mount every Strike pack, and seemingly everything short of the backpacks of the Freedoms. It seems stable enough with that clusterfuck Perfect Strike equipment on, but I still think that shit will need a support:
HG Blue Frame 2nd L:
2 Days, 16 hours, 56 minutes until Bandai crushes our feeble dreams. Worst case, if it's a RX-78-2 kit, please don't fucking go retro again Bandai. There's a reason why the Ver. OYW is the best selling of the MG RX-78s (more accurately, the recolored "Anime Color" version sold better than the original "OYW Game Color" one - together they easily blow past their scale counterparts.). It's probably too soon for the RX-78-2 Ver. The Origin (or not..).
