Only annoying thing I have with gunpla now is how easy shit pops off at times. I do like this GM Type C though. Better poses than I can with the 00 Q[T], keeping him on the action base.

So if I want to order from HLJ it needs to be EMS or w/e right?

EMS or FedEx; SAL can be a roll of the dice on speed. Even though USPS is good for me, you have to factor in Japan Post -> it getting on a US-bound transport -> processing and it making its way to you from (probably, since its Pacific-international) Anchorage, AK. Also the big thing: no tracking with SAL.

Popping issues (depending on what the part is) can be addressed by Future coats, or even a really tacky non-permanent/hardening adhesive putty (UHU-tac plus a little vaseline works amazingly well for securing hand weapons and shit that likes to move easily). Of course these aren't going to bind the shit together; super glue or liquid solvent glue (Tamiya) for that.

Gonna need to use that liquid solvent cement (the orange bottle of Tamiya-brand stuff) to melt the plastic along those seams together (and then sand down the resulting stuff that raises along where those seams were joined). That, or putty. It probably sounds more intimidating than it actually is; if it's a round surface you'll want to hit it with the sanding pads, flat surfaces call for sticks/paper.

Probably worth practicing on your HGs, at any rate.

And when I say that the plastic melts, it's not likely at all as much as you're probably thinking; if I had to actually estimate the amount of plastic that melts on each side, its likely less than the thickness of a sheet of paper (as to prevent fucking you over on articulation and fitting). So you need not have any concerns about that, mind you.

Animation studio Sunrise producer Masayuki Ozaki revealed at his company's panel at Anime Boston on Saturday that the company is in talks to with Sentai Filmworks and Funimation to distribute former Bandai Entertainment titles. Ozaki noted that Sunrise will release some of its series through distributors such as these. Any possible deals are currently in the works, so further details are not yet available.

Sunrise would like to release titles with Sentai and Funimation as distributors, similar to the current deal in place for Mobile Suit Gundam UC through Right Stuf.

So, first Gundam's future in North America was more or less reassured; now the licenses BEI had gotten from its Japanese parent will probably be saved. Does this mean we're getting Turn-A finally (at some point)? Also, given Funimation's inroads with Toonami.. I suspect that if NBH (owner of Sunrise, etc.) wanted to get shit on the air, this is a very lucrative partner. Probably no need to worry about dub quirks either - Gundam is their fucking crown jewel, they will call the shots on everything. Given how much praise the Unicorn dub has gotten, I don't think they would allow anything but a similar level of quality again going forward.

The Elyn Hobby 1/100 Kshatriya is on hold due to licensing issues with "Japanese" people. lol I guess Bandai wasn't having any of it..

Additionally, no surprise, the MG RX-78 3.0 looks like it also has consideration in the frame and runner layout for a MG GM 3.0 (and probably the GM II and GM III, with new parts, if they were smart). From the looks of it, the LED cavity in the chest can easily be modified (probably a small duct to a hole in the breast) to direct some light light to the subsensor on the left breast of the GM II and (the Unicorn version) of the GM III. Add to that the expected G-3 and maybe even the RX-78-1, we're looking at 7 other MS (counting the Origin versions of the Gundam and GM) sharing that 3.0 frame or portions of it.

I can hear the cash flowing into Bandai's pockets already.

Barely got any MG's for it so I'm not surprised. Think all we've gotten is Shining/God/Master/Spiegel, and the Super Mode version of God/Master if you count em. G Gundam seems to be alot more popular in the US than in Japan it seems.

G Gundam definitely deserved more attention, but as Cleverness said it's a popularity issue; it DOES have some 1/60 HGs (they're old, yet as you can see by the pictures, look pretty fucking good for their age).

Cleverness noted the MGs for G, though there are also some old 1/100 HGs of the Maxter and Dragon too. Rose and Bolt had 1/100 B-Club kits (and I don't even know if their recasts show up at all outside of Japan). The HGFC line is either dead or on the back-burner as well, sadly. At least Nobel and Fuunsaiki were put out before the line disappeared.

Turn-A has really gotten the worst treatment overall (a good number of MS were B-Club resin kits). At least Gundam X had a good run of 1/144s and some 1/100s, although the HGAW line is dead too (sales weren't great I guess).

Depending on what develops with the licensing of Gundam between Funi and Sentai, at the very least G/X/Turn-A's kits will get new production runs to meet the anticipated demand, if not a couple new, modern releases.

If we were to go all in as North American Gundam fans on X, one would think it'd follow that we'd get MGs for the series (lead Gundams anyway), if not certainly a revival of the HGAW line (can sell to the rabid demand in NA, while getting some sales domestically too).

They've resolved to keep Gundam going here (with good financial reasons, outlined in many previous posts), and i'm sure they eagerly pour over the NA figures to gauge our attitudes/interests. Is it really little surprise (in retrospect) with how big Wing and Unicorn's sales are here, that they made sure the cheaper DVDs would be readily availible? They do need to give us some other avenue of communicating with them, aside from our wallets however; stuff like the HG 1/100 line of things that would never get a MG (like a Mobile Armor) do have fans wanting to throw their money at them - back when that rumor began circulating, people were in a tizzy over getting a Big Zam or Elmeth.

Has Bandai given any indication of plans to release an MG of the Kshatriya? Last I thought I heard was that it's wings were too massive for plastic and they would have to consider using a metal frame, but didn't have anything in the works. Would love an MG kit of it though.. although I imagine it'd be really pricey.

They've claimed that metal inserts would be necessary for the binder arms between the shoulder sockets and the bodies of the binders themselves (and Elyn's Kshatriya does indeed have them). The advantage Bandai has over everyone else is that, simply put, their injection technology and engineering is decades ahead of everyone else - if this small group of people could do it, they most certainly can. Elyn is (or more like "was") selling it for around 150 USD - Bandai could probably undershoot that alittle, maybe 130, and make it back and more with totals sold.

Granted, the MG PMX-003 The O may not have sold well and is making them apprihensive about another large MS, but they also keep failing to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, with Unicorn plowing through things. People were somewhat disappointed in The O, since it seemed like they hadn't made many major changes from the old prototype; I cannot imagine them doing so again with the Kshatriya, given the size there's ample room for an LED (or two, if they want to do the psychoframe cockpit pod purple resonance glow from Ep. 3) and all the other things we're seeing become standard. Even if they had to just make it a fucking online exclusive (which would be ridiculous... though i'd still buy it), and make it cost double what it should cost, it'll sell.

Things like the Kshatriya, Queen Mansa, and many other "large" MS or MAs (such as the Big Zam, Elmeth, and Psycho Gundams..) would likely sell, likely not as well as their more affordable (and smaller) bretheren as MGs. If they're really so concerned about the cost (which I don't think is entirely valid for the Kshatriya, based on Elyn being able to turn a profit on each one they could have sold), maybe they need to just decide on making it a limited run kit - or act on the idea they had of HG 1/100s of shit that will never get a MG for any number of reasons (sometimes things need not be sliding armor, crazy detail...).

Weight should be no real issue either; we'll just use supports and stuff anyway. If they pulled the legal card on them, maybe they still haven't abandoned any idea of releasing a MG of it.

Well, the most striking thing for June is that the old Zeta line of kits is getting reproduction runs (also Zeta-color MSVs).

Finally the ZZ/Unicorn MS-09G Dwadge conversion kit for the MG Dom (http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info...oducts_id=1575) is set for production. The Efreet Custom (which can be modified with a little effort to the Schneid from Ep. 4) will probably arrive in late July - mid-August.

These are recasts, by the way, so it'll involve more work (and some tools, like pin vises/hand drilling implement, sanding paper, super/epoxy glue, and putty to fill gaps/flaws in the resin). The Dwadge is probably less difficult of the two; you'll be discarding the resin forearm armor and retaining the original (for the Unicorn look).

I think you're thinking of the MS-10 Pezun Dowadge; one of the Dom-line developments, at the Zeon asteroid R&D base Pezun (captured by the Federation in the last day of the war - and later decimated by the New Decides during the events of Sentinel). They pretty much changed the name from MS-09G Dowadge to Dwadge with Unicorn for that very name confusion-based reason (too bad they keep flipping between Doven-Wolf and Dooben-Wolf still..).



The Zeonography Rick-Dom (I think) had parts to convert it into the Pezun Dowadge - and it got a modernized take (still faithful of course) thanks to Katoki. I'm kind of surprised that no one, even fucking B-Club, has done a Dom Funf and Tropen conversion. It's often cited, right alongside the Rick-Dom II, as being the favorite of the OYW Dom variants - naturally a kit would sell.
