Since I'm going to order one of those Core Boosters from HLJ, thought I'd check if anyone would be interested in doing a group build (to save on shipping and all that). I've never actually done one before, but it seems like there are a handful of people interested in building kits, so it could be a fun project (also might get me to actually take pictures >.>). Figure if there's interest, we could decide on a series to stick to or a specific suit.

So, anyone interested?

A quarter-year wait for the best fucking nippers availible is pretty crazy; they used to be readily availible before the new year. I guess when word got out.. lol

Take this all with major, huge heaping grains of salt, but rumor mill says the B-Club Dwadge conversions (MG and HGUC) are being retooled for a Unicorn version re-release.

The Nouvel GM III conversions should be here next week, i'll post pics and stuff - rather excited to have these (now if only we can get that 3.0-based GM II and III before we're dead).



By the way, (you should be in no way surprised by this) the MG Geara Doga's forearm armor has some thickened spots on the undersides where it looks like the Sleeves markings will be inserted into on the Unicorn version; likely the markings will be seperate parts from this point forward.

So I've been rewatching Unicorn since I've...acquired some bluray versions. Spoilers incase noones watched it yet waiting for it to get finished

-I don't understand why the NT-D didn't take control of the funnels in his first fight against Marida. It's been stated by Full Frontal and at least assumed that the Psycoframes just use the pilot as a processing source and take over during the NT-D to an extent, yet it doesn't really seem like the anti-newtype thing kicks in. It would have been nice against the Shamblo's bits that pretty much made it invincible to attack, instead of having her drop them on her own.

-Daguza dying really seemed out of place, looks like he just killed himself to activate the NT-D, cause there was no way he was gonna reasonably damage the Sinanju. Guerrilla tactics like that never seem to work in UC, they tried that in Victory with the super sexy bikini assassin squad and at most they damaged some of its outer armor. Daguza was not even in a bikini, idk what he was expecting to accomplish. Kinda sucks he died since he seemed likable while they keep Banagher's half-brother/cousin whatever alive still for some reason.

-Am I the only one who thinks the Full Armor Unicorn is like, a really cheap and stupid upgrade. The last time a teenager designed something MS related, we got Kamille's Zeta Gundam. And Amuro made the Nu iirc. But Takuya, who is apparently really smart and into mobile suits, designs an upgrade to the Unicorn that is just really sticking as much shit on it in a manner that allows him to effectively pile as many weapons as he can. I mean the extra shields are nice obviously cause that's where the I-field is generated but the rest of it still looks so stupid.

-Kinda feel bad for Riddhe. He's in love with a girl whose already interested in someone else and doesn't really show him the least bit of attention, everyone treats him differently because of his family name, he learns that his lineage is really abunch of jerks who took advantage of a situation to gain power, he gets made to look like a douche in Dakar cause Banana doesn't want to shoot someone, gets FUCKED up twice by the Banshee for no reason, and probably suffers brain damage in the 2nd instance. And then someone thinks giving him a powerful suit is a good idea. Apparently with a nuke too, which will probably be used to discredit his family name and destroy it and placing the blame on him since he seems to be the whipping boy in Unicorn and the OVA seems to be going for a different ending from the novel. Being Riddhe is true suffering.

The old Silhouette F91 1/100s are getting a reproduction run in September; as usual, get your's ASAP (you are not the only one gunning for them).

The old Victory Gunblaster and Zollidia 1/100s are tenative for October as far as I know.

There's also a ton of old 0079-era (including MSV) 1/60, 1/100, and 1/144s getting runs.

I know, right? Fucking help us all if they work out the kinks in the no-contact cutting edge single-action design. That shit would last a decade of professional use.

Just be careful to only use them on the thin sprue parts; thicker shit you can grab a cheapo pair of Xurons or something.

Also, consider getting a can of WD-40 to lubricate and care for your metal tools; I usually hit mine with the stuff every two weeks (I generally use them for an hour a day or so, every day at a minimum).

Believe it or not, they did have t-shirts they gave away to modelling convention attendees in 2012 around the time of the summer release. It was something like "CLEAN" above and "CUT" below this silhouetted pair of Godhands on the back of the shirt, in blue.
