Just finished the build on the RG Zeta god its transformation is a pain in the ass. is like that in the MG or is the endoskeleton complicating this?

It's more of a pain because it's 1/144. Inner-frames, if anything, make things more stable in spite of the increased weight (and it is much easier to resolve loose joints via Future on 1/100 scale things). It does make it a little more complex of course, but if you look at the MG 2.0, there's fewer parts move around (example being the hip-leg region) and the moving parts of the frame are sturdier.

I haven't recieved a reply or update about the status of the Bandai one yet; seems like no one else has either (on /toy).

Gold plated and Silver plated, so undergates for all?
Should be undergated, even the old HG 1/100 was undergated.

Take a look on Dalong (i'll link the reviews to each next to your URLs). The pre-packaged and assembled frames had (in the past, anyway) nub marks/gouges - they finally went and sold the unassembled frames a year or two ago, but that adds onto the cost. There's also been issues of lots of flash (and once, with the Stylet, I had a misaligned runner).

I checked out a couple yt reviews not long after making that post. At least of the Baselard kit. I may still get the Type32 Zen-Rai someday instead of the Border Break kit.

Mostly trying to find variety and other kits than gunpla right now.

I have one of the Baselard kits. It's ok, but definitely not up to the same level as Gundams. I haven't had the same problems that Edelweiss is talking about, but some of the external armor parts definitely don't attach as well and have a tendency to fall off if you touch them..

Well, it was a first run (so some years ago). Koto is probably the second among plastic model manufacturers, after Bandai - but even then that gap is pretty apparent. It's not as bad as some others (fucking Revell still recycles those old ass 1970s moulds), but the fitting/construction is definitely not on the same tier as Gunpla (nevermind a MG or PG).

And unfortunately, those plated SUMOs are just the old 1/144s with plating. And as those were just bare plastic originally, no undergating (as opposed to the 1/100). At least you could strip the coating with industrial strength Windex I guess, then use Alclad Chrome/Aluminum. Or Mirrored Gold, if the lexan forumulation won't get through the primer.

In unrelated news, I read somewhere that the OST for Build Fighters is expected in mid-March. Anyone heard anything similar?

Yeah, though it'll be the week of the 24th I guess.

And I wonder what it says about me that I got out of bed around 12:30 last night just to pre-order Episode 7 and had that happiness promptly replaced by disappointment with no Squidbillies-ATHF at 1-1:15 AM. Instead I got Tim and Eric'd.

    Fucking AS Thursdays.

That was only the 12-1 span though; now it runs through 1:30. qq

Hope I'm not the only one that like to go to hobby search and look up manuals for kits. Interesting to see how they say to build certain kits.

Hobby Search is where you go for pre-1995 and resin kit manuals. Dalong is better however for anything that's come out since the MG line began and CE (and onward) non-MGs.

    jesus fucking christ

I go on /m/ for the first time in a couple weeks.. and there's 2 mecha musume threads, a fucking furry shit catgirl thread, and two of those threads for that awful MuvLuv series. That board has gone downhill, hard, compared to just a couple years ago. It's like a second /a/ now.

Anyway, dead boards aside, due for a preview trailer soon and probably more teasers and MS profiles in the next round of magazine releases.

Additionally, since there's been some confusion about it, in case anyone here was also wondering about the MG Unicorn Phoenix, it does not have the Armed Armor XC of the Banshee Norn. So it's basically just a gold-plated gaudy thing (with two Armed Armor DEs/two shields). I suppose if you wanted the DEs, it'd be less expensive than hunting down the Bande Dessinee Vol. 4 bundle, but keep in mind that'll likely be included in several upcoming Unicorn MGs.

Thought I'd post if anyone was thinking of picking one up. They've been dropping in price and I'm really considering it atm..

Couldn't hurt. I'd really like to get around to doing the original RB-79 Ball as a conversion. Maybe even a Ball 133..

It's always been one of those things that bothered me, no MG original model Ball or B-type Zaku I 2.0.
