I really like the design of the Thunderbolt ball, but I don't think they'll ever release an MG of that one.

Never know. For what it's worth, the Korean Gunpla community seems to like Thunderbolt a lot. Maybe they'll produce some garage kits/conversions.

So I'm trying to go without using the stickers on this and was wondering how you thought those grey areas look or how that leg looks overall. Also how do you avoid the white areas on the dry decals as shown on the fin?

Grey areas and leg look fine from the pic.

As for the dry transfers, do you mean the "clouding" effect? That's probably silvering like in waterslides, and the only way to avoid it is with a glossy and smooth surface (so basically ontop of a glossy coat). I've never had it happen on bare plastic, but then again it was the ballute pack MG Hyaku Shiki (the uncoated one... so eh. Ensuring the surface is completely free of oils and shit helps too probably.

Anyway, as for the white patchy areas, that decal is spanning over a panel line from what I can see on Dalong. There's a couple spots, especially on the binder, where it does the same thing your's is doing. For dry transfers the only way I know of is to carefully make a gentle cut with a hobby knife along the line (and then carefully press down without any side-to-side motion to avoid the risk of tearing). If those were waterslides, you could use decal setting solutions to soften/"melt" the decal to appear as though it were like it was painted on and conform to the surface you place it on; that isn't an option here though unfortunately.

So, you're probably gonna have to make minimalistic cuts that avoid tearing the dry transfer (which is delicate); this entails just cutting down and making sure not to move your blade more than necessary (and maybe repeating the cut until that shit has clearly separated). When you're satisfied, compress with your fingernail (again avoiding any tear-inducing movement).

There's probably more helpful advice from /toy/ who've actually built it for specific advice here.

Yeah 98% of the time it's not a problem but its looks really awkward in that one spot. BTW the Sumi-ire Pens are by far the best lining tool I've ever used.

Before I forget, I guess Great Mechanics is going to be doing a Episode 7 preview in the next issue. One of the teasers is that there's going to be more MSV cameos like in Episode 4. This might include the AMX-008B Ga-Zowmn Gunner, a medium-distance sniper and support purpose loadout for the basic Ga-Zowmn from the old 1/144's manual.

I dunno why, but I didn't really like the episode that much. I think a big part was just that the battle did not feel nearly as impressive as the last three.

Also, are we just not gonna talk about this?

Those subtitles were horrible, but maybe that was intentional?

I miss Haman mod on /m/. I can't draw him out anymore with Haman threads.

I miss compitent and consistent modding too. Pretty sure the mods now are the same ones who made that stupid fucking sticky last summer about how to define what is and isn't /m/. What the apparent consensus that emerged from that shitfest was basically everything is /m/ if a character did something with a mechanical object (like that one Anon said, making toast with a toaster makes anything /m/ then).

If I get to janitor /m/, i'm going to rain fire on the Muv-Luvfag and Kancolle/musumefags of the likes unseen since the mid-2000s. Also those occassional Girls und Panzer and Strike Witches bait threads. Fuck that. I'd still let Infinite Stratos threads go, just for the lulz.

I remember when moeshit (or waifushit that wasn't Gundam/Macross/some other accepted series) like that wouldn't have both been accepted and not bombed into oblivion just a couple years back, when 00 and TTGL were still new. I miss those times.

At least we still have this thread.

Have a (1/100 I think) scratchbuilt Nero so this isn't just nostalgia and ragefagging:

I don't think you understand how janitors work. They can only delete posts that have been reported. They can attempt to escalate, but only mods can ban people. Plus, given that the current moderation is allowing the threads to exist, you would most likely be removed before you could do anything. Sorry.

Yeah, that's supremely disappointing. Welp, /m/ is ded then. Also cancer, etc.

There's enough space in the upper portion for the entire Sinanju to actually be kneeling. It also has six of those Psyco Gundam-like arms (two pairs each are folded up in the rear). The only obvious weaponry are the beam weapon hand/fingers are taken directly from the Alpha Azieru's mega arms (so they probably have the same ranged attack abilities, albeit with cables involved).

We'll see if that Great Mechanics article has anything we can't already tell (mainly if it's really as relatively lightly armed as we can see thus far).
