Finished my HG Qubeley Papillon the kit uses 3 runners from the HGUC Qubeley which gives it a nice custom Gunpla feel. I just hope it gets a MG down the line.

Only issue with that (and stuff like MS-09G Dwadges) is that the existing MG is old. Like predating even the earliest, most basic inner frames that now characterize the "modern" MG line. I mean, Ple One's Qubeley Mk. II got a November MG back in 2009, but it's really an exception more than anything.

So it's probably most likely that it'd be an P-Bandai online exclusive if they did one. But it does probably have a shot, since it'd only need a couple runners (though they're large parts like the binders and forearms)

Did a quick check and there is maybe around 4 new runners worth in parts total, with a considerable number of original Qubeley parts left over: head (only the outer armor)/shoulder binders (minus polycaps)/forearms (minus hands and polycaps)/skirt armor (minus funnel container)/knees/feet. The only new weapon the Papillon brings is that lancebit, and that's probably just two-three pieces total, though again, large parts.

While that seems like a lot (and on a piece-by-piece basis, the Papillon runners would be large), compared to say a Dwadge based on the MG Dom 1.0, it's actually a fairly small amount. A hypothetical Dwadge would involve new moulds of: head (rear-looking monoeye and sensor on the back of the head; this might mean doing a new head entirely)/everything except the frontal chest armor (paired cables running over the shoulders)/backpack with moving thrust vanes and a large propellant tank/shoulder armor (armor and internal stuff)/new rear skirt armor (there's a heat-dissapating series of inlets here, so it'd pretty much be both armor and internal details too)/two additional skirt thrusters (so maybe a new hip portion?)/outer half of the lower leg armor (two blisters on each, along with single smaller external propellant tanks each). Weapons would involve a new Giant Bazooka (probably one based off the Zaku II R-2's enlarged grip one), heat saber handle, and heat tomahawk (dual bladed heat hawk). That's a pretty extensive list of parts that'd need to be newly made for such an old kit (though it is a pretty good kit given it's age). You can probably hear the groans of the CAD people already, given how many changes would need to be made.

It's a crapshot of course, but i'd probably put my money on the Papillon over a Dwadge (though there is the fact they can reuse many parts for Desert Rommel's customized Dwadge). There are some factors that give a little weight to either hypothetical (GPBF being pretty popular, Aila being popular, etc.; the Dwadge appearing in ZZ and Unicorn, plus being a UC MS).

If you have no luck on your own with eBay or (doubtful..) Mandarake, I suppose you should ask Tatsu Hobby (via e-mail to [email protected]). I mean, they've found several very rare vintage B-Club resin kits for me, so how hard can it be for them to find a recent release? lol If you can get a hold of them for close to what they were originally offered at, take it - that's a good deal. You'd have an excellent shot of getting both for around 30-35 each, frankly; it's questionable if they'd get another production run. That's generally reserved for stuff that sells absurdly well (X-2, X-3, Tallgeese II come to mind).

Another option is Yahoo Japan auctions, but yeah, that shit..

The only time I can ever get mine to stand on its own is when its in Full burst mode. Other then that get a stand because even in the most basic of poses it topples over the minute your hands leave it.

Worst part is that CE RGs don't really have any internal space for you to insert counter-weights to improve balance/shift the center of gravity, one thing that CE MGs readily have.

The doctor in this week's episode was also the one from Gundam X iirc, but yea seems we're gonna get cameos out the ying yang next week. Want to see the Amazing Exia fully loaded out, probably some Seven Swords variant that includes pistols cause it's Yuuki.

YOU CAN'T MAKE ME LOSE HOPE. qq But yeah, it's probably not happening any time soon; maybe if Hathaway's Flash does as good as Unicorn, and the OYW stops getting milked, and it's Lightsday with double light weather. It's an awful shame to let a couple decades of interesting settings and stories go like that.

Oh also, that Destiny Remaster ended in spectacular QUALITY and a fair amount of lulz last week, I guess. There's no chance we're going to be afflicted with a SEED movie, r-right guys?

I kind of want it to happen, just as a masochistic delight.. getting it over with and learning to hate CE all over again.

I think the thing that most amused me about the Remasters is that they managed to do the worst slew of Hiraiface yet.
