I mostly completed my Exia ignition mode. I was really disappointed that it doesn't come with enough parts to make BOTH sets of the model. I was under the impression that you could build all of the parts and they could be interchangeable like the sword, leg, the arm obviously and most importantly the head. Oh well, started making it in the completed mode so I just kept it that way and finished up. Sadly disappointed. It's the second MG model I've ever made and panel lined etc. I'm not a pro whatsoever but I feel like I'm getting better. I want to start painting full kits soon and need to invest in an airbrush set. I tried to do some white panel lining with enamel and thinner using panel washing technique. It took several different coats for the white to show up on the blue plastic.

Got the RG Char's Zaku 2 coming in next week...so how are the tubes handled in this?

Power cable armor is handled differently from the 2.0s; instead of being cut and pulled onto the tube, you insert the tube and just cut the cylinders free. The RG lacks the metal spring that the 2.0 have as well.

Well, basically yes; with the way the armor is moulded on the runners, is more akin to the old 1.0 (which just had a general pool of them, whereas the 2.0 specifically had this shit all pre-moulded and was merely a matter of cutting them free and pulling them off).

You'll first need to place a single piece of cable armor on the one D6 connector. Then you'll insert the other adapter plug into that tube. You then fully insert it into the cable armor, cut that line of armor free, and then repeat the process, cutting off two more (for a total of 9, on the leg cables anyway, once you've connected that other D6 + single piece).

That heavy arms kit seems really popular. Makes me want to get it real bad.

It gets even better when you realize it takes virtually no effort to modify the old 1/100 Heavyarms Kai EW's weapons to fit the MG. Some repainting, and you've got the Kai. Probably the easiest one to convert.

Wish I became aware of Gentei Kits before I noticed majority of everything sold out. Don't think I want to wait too long on those white dingo kits.

edit: I haven't bought anything from Tatsu in over a year...do you think they'll add anything extra? For getting from them again etc. Have some things that amazon sellers want too damn much for.

Not sure why I didn't make the Neo Zeong and GP-03 comparison until now, is it just a coincidence they are really really similar or did I miss something in the novels about the Sleeves having access to that supposedly deleted data, the GP line of suits was actually advanced enough to rival most Zeta suits in terms of output without the movable frame feature.

Conceptually, they're similar and that's pretty much it. Whether or not any GDP data got passed off to the Axis Advance Fleet by the Delaz Fleet, who knows (they probably saw the Orchis enough to have a visual record of it being a thing). Real world-wise, it's sort of a homage with the internal weapon containers and shit.

And yeah, the GP-series probably could compete with most standard Gryps-era MS (mass-production models and herpaderp Mk. II anyway), though they'd start falling behind with transformable MS beating them in straight-up endurance, firepower, armor quality, straight-line speed, and maneuverability. I guess you can also throw in the fact that they're rather lightly-armed (and lack the generator output to replenish their beam rifles shots like virtually every MS that came after the GM II and Hizack). Not to mention cost-effectiveness ontop of all that by the time Axis starts deploying those monster mass-production models (or earlier with some of the better MS from the Titans conflict, notably the standard Barzam and the Marasai).
