I literally can't decide what version of the RX78 to get.

If I want the HG then I'd rather have the 30th or Forever Gundam variant. I hear the RG is a little shitty.

3.0 MG would be the obvious choice but then again I hear the OYW ver is just as good.

Overall I think the OYW is the best, the 3.0 is a runner up.

There's just something about the proportions and details (plus the design) that no other iteration has. 3.0 is by far the most posable and it has a core fighter plus an LED.

The Anime Ver. has the appropriate tones compared to the Game Ver. for the OYW, but if you paint it's moot. I really didn't like the 2.0s of the RX-78-2 or GM because of the retro style (they're still great kits though; their hands are typical for 2.0s and I actually just used them in place of the OYW hands).

If/when you ever decide to take a shot at resin conversions, the OYW has an excellent RX-78-1 conversion (http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info...in+Model+Kit); just omit the spare barrels on the vambrace shield and it's perfect.

Man the colors on that OYW version looks ugly. I don't even want to touch resin kits because I'm terrible at painting anything and having to do it on plastic? noep

I may go with 3.0 then. Just gotta figure out where to put that fucking box at.

3.0 also has an option parts set that includes the beam javelin (replaces the left beam saber) and Gundam Hammer (plus other shit and an LED).

The LED in the exia ignition mode is super underwhelming. It seriously flickers like crazy. Connection must suck.
