My understanding is that employers test for specific drugs, because that's how drug screening works. Is that a wrong assumption?

Drug screenings are generally package deals, unless you're applying somewhere that runs their own lab.

When I took the drug test for my last job, the lady administering the test told me that one woman had a friend piss in a water balloon and she tied it off and shoved the balloon up her cooter and popped it with her fingernail when she took the test. She got caught doing it but ... ew man. How about just not doing drugs if you're looking for a job? There is a general package, but some employers request other ones. Not commonly tested for drugs include things like Ecstasy, things like Benzene and LSD. Whereas common tests generally include Marijuana, Opiates, Cocaine, Amphetamines and I think PCP, though it might not be considered common anymore.
