Honestly, I don't understand how you can find it unbelievable that Rachel would jump at any opportunity to move up in the firm. Besides, Rachel knows just how bad he is. That's why she said she was surprised that she actually enjoyed working with him.

Not sure kissing up to Louis would be the greatest way to get ahead in the firm.

That said, I know Louis is a total dickhead but I kind of love him anyway. He is kind of a lovable dickhead - he had the soft spot for his cat and for the ballet, and you could tell he was bothered to hear Harvey and Mike talking shit about him. (Listening in is fucked up, but talking behind someone's back is also a dick move.)

I feel like everything this show touches is gold. Now if only Donna were back. That new temp guy was ... ugh.

It seems incredibly likely Donna will be back once this case is taken care of, which I think may end up being a huge win for the firm (which is how they could hire her back again and not take any shit for it). And I do like Louis, not like like him, but they give him some redeemable moments so you don't just hate him and he seems to have some sort of background and motivation. And to me it's clear Louis just has a different view of how things work than Harvey and such moreso than him being a purposely evil guy.

It'll get figured out by the end of this case and she'll be back by the time it's over.

(based on the fact that harvey would lose a bit of who his character is if he hired back the person that royally fucked up.. twice - and the fact that we all know she has to come back)

No show would ever EVER get rid of a character like Donna. Ever. She is too interesting and funny, and she brings out the best in Harvey. She'll be back. They could be using this as a way to put Donna and Harvey together, since Donna alluded to a romantic past with Harvey (to Rachel) before, but didn't give details.

it's skipping more than that though. it goes from Lewis on the stand to Tanner visiting Harvey in the gym with a settlement offer. i think the torrents missed an entire segment there.

Mine skipped from that to NY skyline as if a transition after a commercial and then mike was stackin' boxes and jessica came in, "refusing to admit defeat after defeat? just like harvey blah blah" and mike says that what happened to lewis was a win but lewis = tanner and that obviously wont work the same way in court because tanner isn't lewis so that whole thing was useless. Then jessica was all, "you're chastising the managing partner" which made for a pretty funny scene but then ->

J:"we'll find a way to win"
M:"what we need to find a way to settle"
J:"no acceptabgle offer"
M:"yet. im not just a pretty face"

Then it goes to the gym scene so apparently mike found something and gave it to hardman(that's not how you spell it, is it..)

The time order is correct. After they put Lewis on the fake trial, the confrontation between Jessica and Mike occurs (See Thunder's post). Tanner appears at the Gym and offers Harvey the settlement agreement (This one does not result in his disbarment). Mike and Harvey confront each other about whether Harvey should take the settlement. Hardman was the one that found the dirt, but Mike gave him the idea. Jessica and Harvey talk to Hardman about the blackmail/"leverage" and he says he's going through with the deal following a vote. At the vote, a tie occurs with Harvey being the deciding factor. He decides to settle (A change from his earlier decision to go through with the trial). Following this, Hardman proposes a vote that could possibly toss Jessica out of her position at the firm.

My opinion of Louis changes every episode. I still think he is a scumbag but I have enormous respect for him after what he said in the bathroom with Harvey.

Yeah, I mispoke about mike finding dirt and giving it to hardman - hardman found it since that's surely going to come into play later.

Louis has always been awesome. I really like how bitter he is about not being senior partner lol

This show gives me an erection. And it's not just because of the pretty ladies.

That whole trial scene with Donna and the following bathroom scene with Louis were great, as well as Harvey punching Tanner in the beginning. Can't wait for the flashback episode next week now, younger looking Rachel and Donna.
