Right when Hardman called him in and told him he needed him to do something for him. Louis said "Sure, you made me partner. I pay my debts." Then he kind of looked to the side and half under his breath he said "I'm a Lannister..." like it had just dawned on him. Was fucking awesome.

The thing is though, just consider the resentment that Rachel will have for Mike once she finds out that he essentially cheated his way into a job she's been working her ass off for, for what 2-3 years now (aside from the time she actually spent in college)?

He didn't really cheat his way into the job. He has all the qualifications, he just never got the diploma with the fancy name to be eligible for some dumb reason. I forget what he said kept him from being a lawyer.. but he definitely explained it sometime before

Plus, Rachel would be pretty stupid to be upset with mike for illegally being in that job for anything besides the fact that he's like one easy step away from losing his job + other ramifications for the fraud. So it would be anger out of love/care and not anger out of jealousy because that would be weak and dumb

But that's also about as weak as Mike having some urge to tell his girlfriend everything. Telling one more person just puts you in more danger and if your girlfriend at the time was "the one" then she'd have to understand that when the time came to tell her. If not, then she wasn't "the one"! So mike should just get with rachel and stop giving a shit about lying to her about being a "real" lawyer

what the hell happened to the writing on this show? if I took a shot of bourbon every time someone used the phrase"how do you sleep at night?" or some iteration of "how can you look at yourself in the mirror?" I'd die of alcohol poisoning 30 minutes in. next week's previews look even worse. Harvey's just talking in ultimatums in all the clips we're shown.

the writing used to be sharp as a tack. now it feels more like soggy breakfast cereal. hope it improves.
