It's also not tremendously difficult to find places that do actually serve live octopus. I went to a restaurant in Busan, S. Korea where we got to pick our octopus from a tank on the first floor, walked upstairs to sit at a table, and had that octopus brought to us on a plate with it's tentacles freshly removed, wriggling, and ready to eat. It's a very bizarre sensation when the little suction cup things on the tentacles grab your lips as you try to eat them, but it was certainly delicious.

Over 1/2 of Japan's public toilets and urinals are near open windows and doors. Not to mention that many of the bathrooms themselves can only fit 1 person at a time but cannot be locked lol..
