I may have to try this. Though I never got into Tenkaichi. Was too different from Budokai, put it down rather quickly.
i'm still looking forward to a fighting game that is enjoyable and playable with my friends where they don't end up smashing my £40 controller because street fighter = rage for some reason
It may be a slightly interactive movie, but damn is it an attractive slightly interactive movie.
If this game gets nothing else right, it will at least have its looks.
You know you're going to buy it. May not be a day 1 thing(waiting for more info), but you'll have it when the price drops or used.
Baaahhh... most likely, yeah, when the price drops. You never want to outright want a game to -not- sell; I'm just not a fan of taking the "fighting" away from the player. This seems like it'll be ludicrously fun for the younger crowd who can really dig into the roleplay, especially when creating their own character.
For an older guy like myself that is spoiled and set in his ways, its too easy for me to pick apart each and every aspect of it. Re-used voice lines, re-used moves, animations, ect. I'll watch vids when it comes out and make a determination later. I've been on such an anti-console crusade lately that its bloodying my eyes a bit. I'll try to give an impartial look at it later on.
It's just when you said "I will not be buying this" made me realize I said the same thing for a lot of things and ended up buying them. I am feeling the sameshit face for the game too, like all post Budokai. Tenkaichi 2 & 3 will always be the best for that series and Budokai 3 for the SF style fighting. I really do wan't a Burst Limit 2.
I have been interested in Infinite Worlds for years now. Just never bothered to buy it.
Looking at the hero mode I didn't see any options other then the Saiyan race. While I'm sure that would be the go to for 90% of the players anyway, I would like to make a fat Namek with a Mr. Satan afro.
I rarely do, but I agree on all points. We share the same favorites in the series. I wonder, though: with all these new "customizable" options, do you think they've finally listened to fan requests and allowed for things like Bojack Trunks to be possible? At this point, its only a simple change of outfits for fighting trunks and a hair mod, yet we were never able to get it with the hair down, ever. We always got the ponytailed Trunks since the game locked his base and SSJ forms into having it.
I'm confused: I'm a DB fan, but I've always passed on the PS3/Xbox games because I'm never sure -which- one is a decent fighter.
Any help here? I feel like the last one I played that played decently as a fighter was.. Hyper Dimension on the SFC. Everyone tells me Budokai 3 had the nice mix of being a good fighter and having a good story mode or whatnot. Any of the PS3 / 360 ones manage that feat?
Burst Limit didn't quite held up to Budokai very well. It did do decent, but wasn't enough.
Raging Blast took on an HD version of the Tenkaichi route.
RB2 slightly improved on it. Not a lot though.
I hope they keep the SSJ3 Vegeta and Broly in this one.
yeah super sonic vageta is always fun but ss4 is still my fav mode
if the Cut scene are actually from Dragonball Z Kai damn there so clean and watchable now (besides blue popo :/) if they are i might have to see how much they are to buy
well i guess its a finisher move but damn thats some power level![]()
With the way the combat works in this game, it seems like the stages themselves don't really matter much. There's not a focus on free-flight, so I doubt you'll seeing things like flying underwater or knocking people into specific points of the stage like in last year's game.
