I was able to call my NPC and get the full 100 kills 5 hours after the patch, so I dont think so.

Have not seen mine use Cure 6 at all, lvl 85 and I go blu/rdm, it still does cure 5 after converting...
Mine also has never used Cure VI, but I'm not convinced he doesn't have it. Cure VI is less efficient than Cure V, and their minimum recast (eyeballed) is longer than the recast on Cure V. It could be that they're just going with efficiency, or that SE elected not to give them Cure VI so they wouldn't waste their MP even more.
I give my nanako a staff so she can spirit taker every so often
Bit of a necro bump, but does anyone know if you can still get AF points from Ajahkeem if your NPC is currently at capped xp? I assume you still would because they'd want you to be able to earn points even in the event that your NPC is at the max cap from the last update...but I really don't want to waste two hours of my time to test it...come back...and find out I got nothing -.-
Edit: Also, something is messed up with Glamorize Equipment. I've been leveling my NPC on worms/leeches in Zehrun Mines so I should've been progressing up the mage armor path, right? Well, I summoned her and she was in a Gambison, killed 70 mobs, resummoned her, and she was then in a Wool Robe or w/e the next level up is. I fought 70 more mobs and she took off. I went back to Jeuno and decided to spend my points on upgrading her body armor a level. I did NOT call her at the rendezvous point before I did one level worth of upgrade on her body because I assumed she'd just be wearing the Wool Robe from before. After the upgrade, I checked on her at the rendezvous point and she was wearing A MYTHRIL BREASTPLATE. wtf. Somehow not only did it switch her to Light Armor path...but it downgraded her 2/3 levels. So...I spent extra points to switch her body BACK to mage path, and then more points upgrading it again. So I guess word to the wise, if you're going to upgrade armor, make sure through Ajahkeem that you are on the path you want -.-
Yes you can, i'm more than certain!
Even more necro bump: I can't believe the bond points gap between 60cap quest, 65cap quest, and 70cap quest. Takes toooooo freaking long...two whole weeks between quests? Stupid SE -.- They better make up for it by making the 'new summonable areas' turn out to be abyssea in the next update...
Can you use level 85 NPC in Voidwatch? I'm still leveling mine (lv 73 atm) and I was wondering if there'll be use for it. Which makes me want to ask - when and what for do you use your adventuring fellow?
I use my NPC for Grounds of Valor farming mostly, Speeds up kills a bit.
Outside of that, not much. And i don't think you can use it during Voidwatch. When you initiate voidwatch it depops like all pets, But i don't think you can summon it while under VW status... I have no tried however.
I'm bored enough to go test that on the test server even though odds are high that the answer is no. Be back in 5!
[EDIT] The answer is no! Cannot call fellow during a VW, and if you initiate with one out, it depops.
It's probably for the better. Even if you could, they'd die in 1-2 TP moves since they're idiots and always meleeing on them when you are rather than standing back and cure bombing you until they're out of MP in 30 seconds.
Man, I need to find me a static group to burn through Tactics weekly, I want my NPC capped for the reason of having it capped.
Just FYI - info on 85->90 trial:

NPC is awesome for lowmanning VNMs outside Abyssea for Magian trials. Was able to Duo Blobdingnag with me as RDM and a Kannagi NIN with my Soothing Healer 85 NPC. I would diaga the babies and super tank them with /BLU and def food with my NPC Cure 5ing me whenever I got low. Cure 5 from NPC after Convert is also win.
