that and in the uk at least steam sells things at full RRP (maybe 10% off for preorder) you can definitely get things cheaper else where like amazon, game and zavvi
because non digitaldownload retailers in the uk tend to knock off £10 off RRP for new games
origin won't be any different though it will sell all its games at full RRP just like steam
for example battlefield 3 is £39.99 on origins wich is alot more than usual for a PC game in uk
but the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition: Physical Warfare Pack is £29.99 in game which is a deal compared to origins

Europe is so ass-backward when it comes to game distribution, it's a miracle sales haven't completely collapsed yet. If they get games at all, there's zero, zero (zero), ZERO reason to buy it on release day, since the price crashes by 25% two weeks later. Digital distribution platforms FUCK euro players up the behind repeatedly, often being 50%-100% more expensive than north american releases. Most everyone I've seen who adamantly opposes steam/D2D/etc are from Europe because of the situation the distribution deals put them in. It's sad and I don't know why they do it this way.
