Trailer released today. Looks pretty awesome. Great book and Sorkin has a solid track record as of late, obviously.

fucking Kotick
Oh yay this looks awesome. My husband will be thrilled. I got him the book last year for his birthday and I had to listen to the theories from it for about six months afterwards. He still brings it up from time to time.
I'm just happy they chose Brad Pitt for it cause that'll be nice eye candy while I suffer through yet another baseball thing.
What is it with Brady Pitt playing gay guys?
What is it with you being a terrible mod troll about baseball?
It looks so-so, Philip Seymour Hoffman in it too. Quite underrated?
I'm far from trolling. Moneyball was a great book and I'll watch the movie. Just because I hate baseball doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good book. Get the fuck out.
Since when is Billy Beane gay?
Wrong Billy Bean(e). My bad. Briefly recalled hearing on some sports talk radio about Billy Bean being gay. I had assumed it was the more famous of the two, alas, different baseball player.
I loved the book.
The casting makes me really skeptical, I'm afraid it's going to be way too Hollywood.
What other gay guys has Pitt played? Just curious.
This looks interesting, "Moneyball"/sabermetrics changed a few things about baseball.
As a lover of baseball and sabermetrics both I'm obviously looking forward to this. Hopefully it gets more people out there to realize what the concept behind Moneyball really is. Shame it got delayed so much, as the whole idea behind the book has lost a lot of effectiveness. Still though, I don't think any book has affected any sport as much as Moneyball did to baseball, so it's a great storyline for a movie (even if they dramatize it a bit)
Motherfucking Scott Hatteberg
also Royce Clayton is playing Miguel Tejada. Motherfucking lol
Just got back from this movie. I liked it. It's slow, like a baseball game, but elegant. It's kind of like a serious Major League. Brad Pitt is quite good. So is Jonah Hill.
Watched it today too, I really liked the film and the cinematography was stellar in a lot of the game-action scenes. It did drag at parts, but Brad Pitt and Johan Hill were both really great in it. Also, that song by his daughter, especially at the end![]()
