Nyquist is going to be a top 6 player if he gets a little bigger and stronger. Emmerton should at least be a solid 3rd liner. Smith should at least be better than Kindl and Ericsson, hopefully he gets even better and people hate him because he killed a dude in a preseason game. Tatar has the skills, but needs to get bigger and stronger on the puck. Brunnstrom has a chance to make the team I think, he did nice work with some of the kids. Kindl looks NHL ready, but won't make a big impact.

I'll CONSIDER four picks for Isaladar/Thoronas.... Bregor I have no sympathy for you though since your situation is the same as everyone else's so you can't claim disadvantage when you have two fans from Chicago, two from Pittsburgh, and one from LA (which, while lacking rd 1-2 picks, has a lot of mid/late-round quality picks - Kopitar/Doughty/Quick/Brown/Richards/Martinez/Gagne) who have to play under the same rules. Ivaden and I can't draft three Penguins, Selamis & Callisto can't draft three Blackhawks, Jornna can't draft three kings, and so on and so forth. If you watch so many games on Versus/online streams, you should have no problem assembling a very capable and competitive team without drafting more than two Capitals. The rule, if anything, puts people who DON'T ALREADY watch/follow out-of-market games/teams behind the eight ball while they catch up learning about the up and coming late rounders like Alec Martinez's of LA and Valteri Filpulla's of Detroit.

On a serious note though I am planning on drafting the best player I can at every pick, and if happen to get more than 2 Red Wings you can suck my dick, and I will trade away my extras for obscene draft picks from Brian Burke.

Its not stupid, I obviously like the idea, therefore I let it escape from my brain through my fingertips and onto your computer screen and Jornna has just voiced support for it and people in the past have said they liked the idea last year. Its more of a good thing. I mean, lets be honest, I think it'd be even cooler if we went to a no-homer system, but obviously that would (A) not be fair to Capitals/Penguins/Canucks/Blackhawks fans and (B) piss a lot of us off (seeing as 8 draftees are fans of those teams). So 2 is an improvement on 3 while still not crossing a threshold that becomes unfair.

I remember you yourself voicing support of the anti-homer rule last year cause you said something regarding not hating Fleury outside of Pens-Caps games and you know what else? You, last year, drafted TWO Caps, so again, the rule stands for you. I'll make a decision on Isaladar/Thoronas in the next 24 hours and post a video describing my decision.

I understand that before I joined the league, there was an issue with someone who was a fan of a team drafting six or seven guys off that team, so the safeguard was put in place. But the issue is, anyone joining the league should be trying their best to win, and if not they shouldn't be in the league. Perhaps that's too idealistic. I went with three last year because I was new and it does make sense when introducing new members. But going from three to two because you feel like it and you're commissioner is, as I said before, arbitrary.

Just my vote, id let them pick up to 2 VAN and 2 Hawks just due to the fact that both those teams do have good dept on their team. Even then, if they both had their own teams, they would only be able to pick 2 anyways.

I'll let your team have a 3-player exception if you trade down your pick then with Thoronas/Isaladar. They move up to #6, you move down to #8, this of course all pending they actually wanting to move up to #6.

Honestly I don't think it will be a problem since Ovie's not falling to #6 and I don't think any other Caps are top 10 material this season, but it sucks being in the back of your head when drafting instead of just "best player available."

Your logic is flawed in that you'll subconciously tend to lean towards "best player available" in your mind being a Capital. If we had some way of objectively determing the best player available (such as having 10,000 observers silently vote for "best available player" while we draft after every pick), do you really think that the "best available player" will be a Capital when it falls to your pick 3 out of 15 rounds? (not counting 1st round cause I do agree Ovi won't reach 6 and no other Caps are top 12 material). The odds that such an occurence of the true "best available player" falling to you 3 out of 15 picks in rounds 2-16 happens to be one of the 10-12 non-Ovi arguably-draftable Capitals players (no backup goalie, no Defensive D-men, no non-PIM/Fighting fourth liners) would be 1 in 1000+
